The Art Deco setting alone is reason to visit this excellent place. I had a delicious avocado and tofu filled bagel whilst my non vegan colleague tucked into a very satisfying English veggie breakfast which would have been vegan without the eggs. I would suggest sitting outside in the summer at least to appreciate the building and setting whilst enjoying the film inspired music being gently pumped out the speakers.

I loved this place so much I went there twice during my 3 day stay. The faux egg bagel is just perfect! So do the desserts. The atmosphere of the place is very pleasant. It is an old cinema with many seats outside, surrounded with a lot of trees. Definitively I will come back, even despite the fact that the café is located a bit far from the city center.

I have some (at least 5) places offering vegan lunch near my work. But the most often I am choosing Iluzjon. This is an arthouse cinema showing old, classical movies, hosting festivals, reviews and special shows. Please pay attention to the building from 1949-1950 built in the soc-realism style.
Read moreAt the beginning of 2019 in the cinema the Iluzjon Cafe Bar was opened (it’s a „younger brother” of Jaskółka that I know well and like a lot). I think I ate there about 100 times already😄The menu includes: breakfasts (e.g. scrambled tofu in 2 options: smaller and larger – with oyster mushrooms, tomatoes and sunflower-seed quark), bagels, burgers. They also serve cakes – many of them are vegan. You can also have a delicious Polish craft beer here (e.g. from the Inne Beczki brewery). In the winter you can warm yourself with a spiced tea or a huge ginger infusion. The water is always free.
From the permanent menu, I’d recommend a bagel with the carrot „salmon” - something extraordinary, unique, full of original taste. A perfect companion to a beer.
Since September 2019 they are serving lunches – almost always completely vegan. For 25 PLN (about 5 Euro) you will get a bowl of soup (usually delicious, based on seasonal vegetables, in the winter time – very warming) and the main dish. Every day another one! You can have Polish dishes (e.g. lentil cutlet, potatoes and salad), Mexican, Italian or Indian. The dishes are full of colourful vegetables and perfectly seasoned, of a strong taste, delicious and nutritious. Lunches are being served since noon (sometimes from 12:30) until the last portion – usually until 3 PM, sometimes even 4 PM.
But the delicious food and good drinks aren’t everything. Iluzjon Cafe Bar tempts also with the fantastic atmosphere: regardless of season or day time, there’s a lot of people here (but also enough place for everyone). Elder neighbours, nearby workers, young mothers with their babies, dog owners – literally everyone is welcome. The interesting architecture and young, easy-going staff make you feel well. In the summertime you can choose one of the tables outside in the beautifully green surrounding.

Cozy place with nice menu! Few vegan options! We had some burgers there and they were on point! I would love to have some fries on the side but theres non in the menu. Any way this place is lovely, iluzjon building is just stunning!

Read moreCons: Unfortunately a VERY poor service. Visited them twice and twice they forgot abt my order despite not having too many clients. The staff are very young people more interested in talking to each other than actually working. Two stars as place has lot of potential, just probably not menaged properly. Definitely Warsaw has many better options.
