nice local spot

I especially enjoyed the vibes at Il Torchio, as this seems to be a spot for locals and although the style of the restaurant is pretty old-fashioned, it gives it character.

The waiter was super-friendly and even brought uns another free portion of their yummy fried garlic bread, as we told him how much we enjoyed it.

It’s possible to customize a pizza and I choose vegan cheese ( 2,50€), whole grain dough ( 1€), porcini mushrooms, grilled veggies and arugula.
The price of 2,50€ extra for vegan cheese is exaggerated, but the pizza all in all is still reasonably priced.

I wasn’t a big fan - neither of the cheese nor the whole grain dough. First was pretty liquid and not so flavorful, second was rather dry.
My husband had a non-vegan pizza with white flour and enjoyed it very much.

Even though they offer these specials of different flour for the base or vegan cheese - next time I’d choose my standard pizza version, when there are no specials available: pizza funghi without cheese, but with garlic and topped with arugula.
This surely would hit the spot!

A vegan oasis of pizza in Valpolcevera

So far I ordered twice a pizza with vegan cheese and fries. It was pretty good and well cooked. The additional cost for the vegan cheese was 2.5€. It was still a fair price in my opinion (10-11€, including a can of cola). It is definitely a worthy pizza and I am sure I will come back again.
