Delicious dinner for two - Edit
Il Picchio changed hands this year and the new owner has introduced an entirely new evening menu with vegetarian and vegan options.
All the food is cooked from scratch at the cafe by Terry, and he has managed to include quite a variety of choices. We had the French onion soup, which was delicious, followed by different main courses: seitan with mashed potato and green beans which was made special by an asian inspired sauce, and a roasted asparagus dish with pasta. They were both really well done.
I finished with a desert that included some sugar sculpture which was impressive.
Terry is very friendly and is clearly a talented chef. I think you need to book ahead so phone in advance.
