A countryside family-run trattoria, near the UNESCO site of Langhe, 20 minutes from Cuneo and 10 minutes from Mondovì. Fully vegan since 2021. Previously at Via Don B Quaranta, move here reported Feb 2020. Open Wed-Sat 11:00-15:00, Wed-Thu 18:00-22:00, Fri-Sat 17:00-22:00, Sun 11:00-22:00.

We chose the large set menu and between us tried almost everything on the menu! The food was superb and the portions were generous, given the number of courses we had! The service was very friendly and the local wine was also excellent. I’d love to come again when we’re next in Italy.

The food is just amazing.

If you let the chef know in advance about any allergies or intolerance, she will prepare something to your convenience.
We have eaten there already several times, and it was always a delight.
A must try is the whole menu with 4-5 courses.

Zufällig fanden wir auf Happy Cow dieses gut bewertete Restaurant. Entsprechend waren unsere Erwartungen. Wir bestellten zwei verschiedene kombinierte Menüs.
Read moreSo hatten wir die Möglichkeit ca 15 verschiedene Gerichte zu degustieren. Alle Gerichte schmeckten vorzüglich und wurden mit frischen Produkten von höchster Qualität mit viel Liebe zubereitet.
Das Team im Restaurant war sehr freundlich und sogar nach Unverträglichkeiten wurde gefragt.
Wir möchten uns beim ganzen Team nochmals für den schönen Abend mit dem tollen Essen bedanken.

My second time visiting this beautiful place from the UK. Great, tasty traditional food and a fantastic wine pairing menu. I’m vegan, my Italian partner and mother are not but they very much enjoyed the menu. We went for the tasting menu, couldn’t recommend it enough! Excellent service too! Incredible lunch - Edit
We went for lunch here and it was stunning. Both had the 4 course menu of the day with antipasti, primi, secondi and dolce which was €29. There was so much choice on the menu and so much of the food was inventive and original using seasonal ingredients like the delicious wild garlic ravioli. To-fish and braised seitan was definitely a highlight and the delicious chocolatey dessert... Oh and the canolis, the list can go on. Great work to this lovely restaurant.

Every time I go to Piedmont I make sure to book a table at this restaurant. They offer Piedmontese and Italian dishes revisited for vegans and change the menu often. Ingredients are fresh, food is tasty and prices are fair. You can either choose the menu option (you can select the dishes to include) or order à la carte. The restaurant is located in a pretty isolated place but it attracts a lot of vegan and non vegan people from the area.

What a nice surprise. I've been coming to Cuneo for several years now, and for the last 4 years I've been vegan, finding this place has been amazing. A very nice location. We dined outdoors. The staff was kind and efficient. And the food was really good! It's a shame I didn't take any pictures, but the food was too good to be goofing around taking pictures. The courses were simple yet colourful and really tasty. A creative millefoglie, a strong funghi lasagna, a delicate quiche, a very creative farinata, a fritto misto mmmm no words, and to close an amazingly good panna cotta! I would surely return. In fact, it will become a fixed destination when I'm in Cuneo. Ahh i was forgetting ... strictly vegan!

We went to Il Cardo e L’Ortica (Thistle and Nettle in English) last night, and we discovered with great pleasure that their menu is fully vegan, with the exception of a platter of local cheese which is served as an appetiser. We had their full menu which comes at only € 26, and is made up of five antipastos, two pasta dishes, a main course and a selection of desserts. The antipasto included baked peppers, sautéed onions, two kinds of insalata russa (a mix of boiled veggies with mayo), couscous and pea blinis with aubergine and tomato. Pasta is homemade, and we were served a large dish with buckwheat tagliatelle with pesto and ravioli filled with a nettle filling: simply delicious! The main course was made up of some thinly sliced seitan roast with sautéed carrots, courgettes, and diced chickpea cake (farinata). As a dessert, we had an apricot mousse and a wonderful chocolate-hazelnut hummus served with fresh fruit and berries. Definitely recommended! Book ahead because the place is small.
