I heart Iku! - Edit

So many delectable dishes, so little time!

I love the laksa, the lasagne and the burgers. Also adore the handy nibbles for vegan on the run...

Be nice to yourself and the animals!

Good location - Edit

I was there for lunch and had a caramelized onion tart with green salad. The staff were very friendly, and the place is quite large and easy to find. Unfortunately, the food didn't do it for me, the tart tasted like it had been out in the counter for a long time. This may be because I was there for a late lunch.

Great Lasagne! - Edit

This is a great all vegan restaurant with many options. The only non-vegan item they have is cows milk for coffee. Nothing in the food is non-vegan.

The burger is good, the pies at pretty good, but the lasagne is fantastic. The laksa is good as well.

Pros: Great vegan food, Friendly staff, Fast service

Cons: Parking

lunch on a wet day - Edit

Friendly service with a smile. Iku Wholefood Kitchen is 100% vegan bar the optional cows milk for hot drinks.
I ate the kidney bean minestrone soup which was perfect warming food for a wet day. I drank peppermint tea with maple syrup.

Cons: Cows milk.

Easy quick lunch - Edit

This place is great for a drop in lunch. it's nothing fancy, but has quick and easy meals. Mostly everything is out on display except for the casseroles etc. The casserole portions could be slightly bigger and they could use less garlic and onion.
Also has a supermarket so you can pick up some items you need while there.
There is a complimentary tea with orders...

Pretty cool, feels a little bit sterile somehow - Edit

I really loved the laksa... could have been warmer though. The food choice doesnt really vary much over the years I have found, I hadnt been in about 3 years and yet it all felt the same. This one is huge so it feels a little like a supermarket, not so cosy. The outdoor tables give the chance to watch the crazy oxford street life go by.

Hip looking vegan restaurant - Edit

IKU is very transparent because all recipes and ingredients can be found on their website. We had a meal here a couple of times. Great inspiring clip on a screen in the corner. About why good food is important; like food be your medicine message. Staff is very friendly. Free thee with meels. Everything is vegan and a lot of food is gluten free. It's a chain in Sydney, but we have only been in Darlinghurst. They do use a lot of garlic and union.

Pros: Vegan, Friendly, Price

Cons: Garlin, Union

Good place - Edit

I ate there twice while in Sydney and really enjoyed the healthy food. Counter staff was very nice as well. I found that buying one of the pre-packed boxes was a better deal than buying the casserole of the day.

Pros: Fresh

Eat and Shop - Edit

Located within a healthfood shop, the best meal is the minestrone soup, oh and the fritata. I love the tahini salad dressing and salad wraps. They have pie, lasagne, tarts, steamed tofu burger and rice cakes, sushi, salads, organic drinks, the best dessert is the apple, apricot, lime pie - so yummy!! Best served with soy ice-cream (So Good, Fruccio, Toffuti, Soy Delights, etc). I'm not a big fan of their soy cream, but their muffins are delish especially date or apple. Choc Friand is yummiest of the two however small. Marraba which is a pistachio nut biscuit is so yummy too i get cravings. They also have curries and soup. All great, good quality food at many outlets within Sydney area. This one is open for dinner.
