Gross establishment - Edit
I recently went to this place after a first decent experience a few months ago. But I will never go back again. After ordering my sandwich, I waited for a really long time, watching the people work there who are completely dysfunctional. It did not seem like appropriate sanitary procedures were being followed, and they kept messing up the sandwiches and throwing whole loaves of bread away. I eventually was so disgusted from what I saw that I asked for a refund and left without any food.

I wrote to corporate about a similar issue with this location a while back and they were quite responsive. Would recommend everyone who agrees do this. Can do online or via email: Ike's Customer Service via customerservice at loveandsandwiches dot com

Lots of vegan options! - Edit
We had the Sneaky Kitty (similar to a BLT), Meatless Mike (meatball sub) and Sometimes I’m a Vegetarian sandwiches. They were tasty. It’s a good sandwich place with solid vegan options.

Sad decline - Edit
This is my local Ikes, and we stopped by frequently to look in the window during the years (years!) it took for them to get all the city permits to open.
Read moreWhen it finally opened, the lines were long but the sandwiches were sublime. Fresh, healthy ingredients, and a dozen vegan options. Every sandwich was outstanding, and if I had written this review a few years ago, five stars. My kids loved it too.
I don't usually go out to lunch when I'm home, but today I was back at Ikes for the first time in a while.
Clearly they are cutting costs, no longer making tasty sandwiches (though still the same veg and vegan classics). Lots of bread, almost no filling, and I could taste the preservatives. My husband had a similar reaction to his sandwich, formerly a consistent favorite.
Sad, because we can walk to this store, but Ikes is off the list.

Vegans beware! - Edit
Menu clearly marks out which sandwiches are Vegetarian and which can be made Vegan.
Read moreStaff has made my “vegan” sandwiches with non-vegan cheese and mayonnaise for my 3 visits over the past 5 months.
I won’t get sandwiches here again. If you’re Vegan and really want a sandwich, consider ordering it with explicitly NO CHEESE OR MAYO, because the staff will get it wrong otherwise.

Great vegan sandwich options - Edit
Be sure to say you want a vegan version. They do have real meat and cheese there and it’s easy to get the wrong ingredients if you forget to specify.

Super yummy crack - Edit
I got the housewife owl or something made vegan. Tons of options, high calorie, quick and easy. Glad they exist
