The sandwiches were absolutely delicious—soft, fresh bread piled high with crisp veggies, succulent vegan “meat,” and Ike’s addictive signature sauce that ties everything together perfectly. The Persephone, in particular, hits that savory, satisfying steakhouse note without missing a beat.
The fries were hot, well-seasoned, and the Dirty Sauce lived up to its name—rich, creamy, and dangerously good.
Service was friendly and welcoming, and the location is ideal: a short, easy walk from the touristy French Quarter, making it a great lunch or dinner stop without the crowds.

I had the vegan toad sandwich on NYE. Took it to the riverfront to see fireworks. It was so good a blessing with the celebration.

Huge vegan menu - Edit
Tons of options here including an *entire vegan menu* and many more options that can be made vegan. The sandwiches were huge and very flavorful. Exactly what I've been craving! We had the Vegan Handsome Owl and the Vegan Bonnie Jill. They were out of a lot of things because of the Superbowl but next time I'd like to try the meatballs or the eggplant sandwich. Bonus points for our waitress who was also vegan and super helpful. Will definitely be back!

Good vegan sandwiches - Edit
Good selection of vegan sandwiches- we tried 4 and they were all good. Sauce is top notch! Cute spot- lots of drinks to enjoy as well. Note- fries are not included & “shakes” are whipped milk- no ice cream.

I’ve been an Ike’s customer since his first shop in San Francisco. He used to be vegan and is VERY vegan friendly. SO MANY OPTIONS. Just go. You’re gonna love it!
