Good vegan sandwiches

Really good vegan sandwich options here! This chain has very good options for vegan sandwiches that are full of flavor! The sandwiches don’t look the best, but they taste great. This specific store was more on the dirty side and could use better cleaning upkeep. The one employee was very helpful with finding the answer to a question I had about their vegan options. Overall I’d recommend coming here for a quick bite.

Pros: Good vegan options , Flavorful

Cons: Slightly dirty building

Loved it

Was glad to find a sandwich shop that offered several vegan options. I got the James and the Giant Peach sandwich. Was super good.

Convenient Option, Informed Staff

We were happy to find that Ike's has vegan options. They are a good sized chain which makes it quite convenient.

$11.95 Meatless Mike Combo on GF bread: This was pretty good. It was a bit smaller than expected but still filling. We shared it between two people. The GF bread wasn't bad, just a little dry. I had asked for it toasted and it was not, however I think it might be too hard toasted bc it's so dense.

*I confirmed with a staff member that the GF bread is vegan.

We were happy they don't charge extra for GF options or vegan meats/cheeses. Otherwise our sandwich would have been $3 extra.

I confirmed with a staff member that the lollipop was also vegan.

I was pretty impressed as I spoke with two separate staff members and they both seemed informed about the vegan options.

It's very nice they have so many vegan options and informed staff at a chain restaurant.

We'll be back since it's such a convenient stop.

Pros: No extra charge for GF or vegan meats/cheese

PETA isn't kidding - definitely the best vegan meatballs!

The vegan Meatless Mike is really good, and I seriously have not had better vegan "meatballs" - even my own home-cooked!

We got a bunch of sandwiches to go, and they threw in a lollipop for each sandwich. The lollipops had dairy in them, which at first was disappointing, until I discovered that they had also thrown in a vegan candy to go with my vegan sandwich!

So many Vegan options!

Over 8 vegan options, the Meatless Mike was my favorite. Will do a glove change, no problem, and all breads except whole wheat is vegan. Well sized subs for $9.99 each! All toasted and warm. YUM! Will definitely go back when nearby! Woman at register knowledgeable on what was vegan and what was not. Free lollipops, too!!

Pros: lots of options, one price, vegan accommodating

Cons: serves meat and cheese in other subs (always possi

Specialty Sandwiches I Can Have

I always loved the idea of sandwiches with names of local celebrity people and places; it just makes the experience that much more fun. But Ike's takes the concept to a newer, more positive level. Most of all, I appreciate the wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options. And to make an item vegan, they don't just omit the meat, cheese, or dairy: they use plant-based substitutions. That's really putting their motto ("Love THEN Sandwiches") where your mouth is!

Pros: Hero-sized sandwiches; could share, Easy to find vegan choices on the menu, Fresh, tasty

Cons: A bit pricey at $9-10 each

Voted best vegan meatballs in America by PETA;)

It was the interesting sign outside that got me to pull over. Last time saw a photo of some bald guy with a big smile was years ago to a caribean restaurant and club. So being in the heavily populated of Asian restaurants and blase sandwich spots near De Anza; I was curious. The fact that there are 11 veg sandwiches got me in. The titles kept me there.

Sandwiches are named after sports stars, tech leaders, iconic tv stars, women (I think) and maybe what you have done with them (I think) or maybe what a woman has called you in the past. Who cares. I went with the 'meatless Mike' as there is a note that they have 'the best vegan meatballs in America' by 'PETA'. Ok and endorsement by the famous animal loving furless naked tribe was good enough for me. On dutch crunch bread with the dirty sauce, lettuce and tomato..

It was amazing. I mean a sandwich is a sandwich but when you don't mind to throw down ten bucks on one, it must be good. All I have to say is the dutch crunch is crazy good and the sauce.. ohhhh the sauce. Sooo good it would dirt taste edible. Yes the vegan meatballs from what little I got, were very tasty.

Can't wait to bring my family here:)
