Go-to sweet treat in Bend

We've been enjoying Ida's for years. There aren't a ton of vegan cake options in Bend, but Ida's is consistently good. We pop in for carrot cupcakes with vanilla frosting when we need a lil something sweet. And hubby knows I sometimes need that chocolate on chocolate during certain times of the month :p We've ordered custom cakes on a few occasions, and they've always been beautiful, tasty, and reasonably priced. I will say, the grab and go cupcakes are still sometimes a tiny bit frozen on the inside, but it doesn't bother us at all. Just have to wait a few minutes.

Custom frosted cupcakes

A non-vegan recommended this place, saying she could not guess the vegan choices were vegan! They had 4 vegan varieties available, and for each one you select the frosting you’d like, as they are frosted (including vegan sprinkles !) to order. The cupcakes are a perfect mouthful size.

Good service. Ok cakes

Three vegan cake bases are possible: chocolate, vanilla, and carrot. Unfortunately, the vegan bases are all only gluten-free. Two vegan frosting are available: chocolate and vanilla. My partner got chocolate-chocolate. I got carrot-chocolate. She thought the cake wasn't good: bitter and lacking, but the frosting was good. I enjoyed my carrot and the frosting. We both agree the vegan chocolate cupcake from Whole Foods was better
