Our Ramen stop at Sapporo! - Edit
On our last day of leaving Sapporo we were determined to arrive at this place. And leave the beautiful North Japan with a memory of Hot Bowl of Ramen.
Read moreThe place is small but super busy.serves all kind of Ramen. Vegan ramen served with tofu steak and dollops of soy butter. A bowl full of happiness. We ordered for two regular bowls and shared among 3, that was tummy filling and satisfying. However the restaurant needs 3 individual items to be ordered for 3pax, so we called for a beer to go along 😊
As per some post we had learnt that this place is closed post 3pm, however very fortunately it was Open.

Tourist pricing - Edit
As others have said, the vegan ramen is quite expensive for what you get.
Read moreIf you’re a tourist working with a strong currency, it’s probably fine, it for those earning a Japanese wage and students, I’d avoid it.
There’s only one vegan option.
The soy meat patty is some kind of fried tofu, which I like, but isn’t what comes to mind first when someone says ‘soy meat patty’

Cons: Only one option, Expensive

Expensive, massive line, ok ramen. - Edit
First of all, vegan ramen near Sapporo station - awesome. It’s very much a part of the permanent menu and doesn’t require the awkward dance with staff of explaining veganism and then asking them to cook something for you.
Read moreSecondly: it is far too expensive for a bowl of pretty average ramen. I am extremely grateful to have been able to eat something that wasn’t a 7/11 salt rice ball and hash brown for dinner, but I was not expecting 2500 yen per bowl (to be fair, it is a nice big bowl which includes a decently sized soy meat patty)
Thirdly: the line is cooked. We got there at 6 pm and waited over an hour to get in, truly the line deserves its own separate review.
If you choose to eat here, be wary of the line and the price.

Good Ramen - Edit
I went there quite a few times. It's near sapporo station and offers one vegan ramen option, which is clearly labelled and very delicious in my opinion.
Read moreTo my surprise it's also not always the same, they seen to change the used vegetables from time to time, which I quite like.
The vegan option comes with a soy steak, but the highlight is the broth and the ramen itself imo, I love it.
Unfortunately, the vegan option is quite expensive.
Pros: Very delicious ramen
Cons: Very expensive

Not bad - Edit
I was able to order the vegan ramen without making a reservation beforehand, although YMMV as the restaurant wasn’t very busy at the time. I’d recommend arriving earlier than usual ~17:00. The ramen was good, the portion was massive, and I could see they put great care into preparing it. I didn’t particularly enjoy the meat patty they used, and would have preferred a some nicely cooked tofu.

Delicious vegan miso ramen - Edit
There's one vegan dish, so choosing isn't difficult. Ordering is done via a terminal in front of the restaurant, then you wait outside until you're invited in because there's space inside to sit down. The ramen is incredibly delicious, but compared to the other non-vegan miso ramen dishes at this restaurant and the comparatively cheap restaurant food in Japan, it's quite expensive at 2,500 yen.

Hi, do you know if you have to say in your reservation if you would like the vegan ramen? I am trying to make a reservation, but I can only select a table, there is nowhere to say I would like the vegan option. Thank you!

Good to go with non veg friends if you don’t mind waiting - Edit
So there’s 2 vegan option ramens - one you can order when you get there and one you have to request prior to arrival. I just messaged their instagram account a few hours before coming and asked i could reserve it because the reserved option looked way better. When we arrived (around 11:30 on Thursday) we waited 1.5hrs to be seated. I let them know I reserved the vegan ramen and had to tell them my name and the worker arranged it for me.
Read moreThe ramen was pretty good miso ramen, which isn’t my favourite broth but it was still good. A good place to come with non vegan homies but they also sell out of the non vegan options kind of fast too.

Good ramen, if you can order it - Edit
The vegan ramen is good but the online ordering process isn’t. It’s almost impossible for a foreign tourist to go through all the steps. And the vibe isn’t very welcoming, so I wouldn’t go there without a reservation for vegan ramen.

Make a Vegan reservation via QR code! - Edit
We came here twice. The first time was not great, but that’s because we didn’t know how to order the vegan ramen. Before, we read that you can order the halal as a vegan ramen, as well as make a vegan reservation online via Line app. However, this was challenging because you have to link a yahoo Japan account to your Line account, which requires you to enter a Japanese captcha. So we decided to try the halal vegan option offered. At the kiosk, You can select English, then order the halal ramen; but I think you then have to communicate to the staff that you want it made vegan. Otherwise it comes out with a large scallop and scrambled eggs. This is what we received. While seated, we saw a placard with a QR code so you can make reservations!! This process was super easy and it works!! We were able to make a reservation for two vegan ramen using the QR code. I have included a photo of the QR code in my review so you can do the same. We went back two days later for our reservation and were very impressed with how smooth the process was. We were greeted at the door, and when we showed our reservation, we were shown a placard that shows the vegan ramen with soy steak at 1800 yen, plus a 100 yen reservation charge. She explained that she had to order food on the kiosk to get to 1900 yen, but confirmed we would receive the vegan ramen option. And it worked! Watching the chef and cooks work in synergy was most impressive both times. It’s a super small space and yet they manage it extremely well and efficiently. This was the very best ramen and absolutely worth the trouble we initially had. You’ll notice the vegan ramen is served in plain white bowls. Highly recommend making a reservation!

An authentic local experience - Edit
Sapporo is famous for its miso ramen so I was very happy to be able to experience it here. When it came with vegan butter I was very surprised! BUT you have to book a vegan option in advance via Google and as there's no comment box, you have to call (your hotel might be able to help you) or drop by the previous day. It gets very busy so I doubt you can walk in (and they need notice for vegan requests)

Very delicious vegan ramen - Edit
Vegan ramen tastes super rich and the soy patty is very flavourful. The soup is a little bit spicy and salty. You need to reserve seats to get vegan ramen and let them know you want to order it beforehand. I’m happy to taste vegan ramen in Japan! We also ordered owner-recommended Japanese beer to go with the ramen which tastes delicious!
