IceLab NiceCream Creations is a vegan ice cream shop offering multiple flavors, such as vanilla, tiramisu, cheesecake, biscoff, and nutella. Also offers milkshakes and waffles. Est. 2020. Stays open later if weather is good. Take-away only from 45 minutes prior to closing time. Brussels waffles are available on weekends and bank holidays as long as there is batter. When the weather is hot, does not serve waffles. Open Mon-Tue 14:00-21:30, Thu-Fri 14:00-21:30, Sat-Sun 11:00-21:30. Hours vary on public holidays - please check website.

They have really special flavours and they are super delicious. They offer one scoop with two flavours so I was able to try more which is super cool! It’s a must visit if you’re in Antwerpen!!

After a very disappointing dinner elsewhere, this place completely saved our evening! The Brussels waffle was absolutely amazing—fresh, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and simply delicious. The ice cream is, without a doubt, the best vegan ice cream I’ve ever had.

They also offer sugar-free baby ice cream made with fruit (ours was apple, banana, and I think carrot), and my little one absolutely loved it. He ended up covered from head to toe in ice cream, which was both adorable and a clear sign of how much he enjoyed it! 😂
If you’re looking for outstanding vegan desserts and genuinely friendly service, this place is an absolute must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

After having been on a quest for vegan waffles for a few days this place was like heaven. Delicious waffles, ice cream flavours beyond the usual sorbet ones and absolutely delightful staff who took time to explain the differences between waffle types in perfect English.

What a treat that everything is plant-based! Finally, a place where you can order every ice cream flavor you see. Personally, I loved tasting Amerena again. And the fact that it was so delicious was absolutely fantastic. Although we don't live in Antwerp, this ice cream parlor is a reason to travel to Antwerp more often. And not least because of the very friendly lady behind the counter. Service with a generous smile, even when it's busy.

Ice Lab Nice Cream Creation is an absolute gem. - Edit
The ice cream here is seriously excellent, and what really sets it apart is the selection of niche Italian flavours you won't find everywhere. On my first visit, I discovered amarena and pistacchio, both exceptional, and on my second visit, I got to try amaretto and tiramisu. Each flavour is crafted with genuine quality.
Read moreBeyond the ice cream, their Brussels waffle is outstanding. It arrived big, light, and fluffy, cooked to absolute perfection. It's the kind of waffle that makes you wonder why more places don't get it this right.
But what really won me over was the owner's kindness. On my second visit, I noticed a bumblebee that needed help near my bike outside. When I asked the owner if she could spare some sugar to help it, she went above and beyond, she actually melted a sugar cube in water for the little creature. She's like a superhero but for bees! That kind of genuine compassion says everything about the place.
The Italian music playing softly in the background is the cherry on top. As an Italian living in Belgium, those familiar melodies make the whole experience feel like a warm hug.
Ice Lab isn't just a nice cream shop, iit's a place filled with heart, flavour, and soul.

It is a bit on the pricey side: €3.50 per scoop for takeaway, and €5 per scoop if you eat it on the terrace. Fortunately, there’s a nice little square across the street where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream.

Good morning, we are truly happy to hear you enjoyed our ice cream. We make everything ourselves from scratch and only use quality and mainly biological ingredients. We do not use colourants or flavour enhancers. One scoop is 100 grams and you can divide that scoop into 2 flavours if you wish. We believe that 3.9 euro for a fully homemade, artisanal, large scoop of ice cream is a very fair price. When you eat on-site, you have to pay a little bit more as we have to apply higher taxes and costs. If you are vegan and visiting Antwerp you need to go here! The liege waffles were delicious, I really loved them! The ice cream was good as well, and they have a wide selection of toppings! They didn’t have the Brussels waffles when we went, but everything was so good! Definitely worth a ~15 minute walk from the city center!

Hidden gem of Antwerp - Edit
I wish I lived in Antwerp just so I could visit this place more often!! I was absolutely wowed by the knowledgeable person serving us, I think she might be one of the owners. I was even allowed to choose for smaller portions in different flavors because I couldn't chose. I got Speculoos, strawberry cheesecake and straciatella. I do understand the reviews saying it's more watery than regular ice, but I didn't mind that at all: the flavors were standing out perfectly.
