Delicious crepes and wonderful owner - Edit
We found this on Happy Cow but the hours on Google and here were confusing. Do message ahead to check open.
Read moreThe lovely woman owner was so attentive and friendly and helpful and described everything we could eat. We are gluten free and both the buckwheat and tapioca crepes were delicious. We had to have pudding too!
The lady was apologetic that there were fewer things available for vegans and vegetarians than before, but tourism in Batlaha has significantly reduced and very few Veggies come now. So please please please come and eat at this lovely place in a beautiful setting in the historic Square and help bring vegan tourism back to Batalha! She is so open to feeding us and I believe deserves support.
Pros: Friendly attentive service, Delicious options , Lovely setting
Cons: Fewer veggie items now, since tourism has declined

Rough start, but they made it right - Edit
We went to Ice Crepe because of the amazing reviews, and were excited to try the vegan brunch. Simply put, it was terrible. Most of the items were frozen and microwaved, which left them hard and tasteless. Some items were unavailable. Also it was confusing because the menu says brunch for 2 people is €22, but the little brunch card says it’s €17,50… and it turned out to be for 1 person. We were feeling very disappointed. The owner apologized and said that the vegan brunch isn’t popular, so they don’t make it often, which is why everything was frozen. She could see how bad everything was, and worked hard to make it right for us by replacing the inedible items and ended up taking the brunch off the bill.
Read moreALL OF THIS SAID - we knew we’d still be hungry, so we ordered a buckwheat galette with vegan cheese and sausage, which was DELICIOUS. And all of the FRESH vegan pastries were amazing. The cappuccinos were also very good. So I would still recommend going here, just do NOT get brunch. Order from the regular menu, because that’s all great!

They have vegan buckwheat crepe and tapiocas with many different toppings, including ice cream, fruits, berries, chocolate spread and more! They also have vegan cheese toast, veg milk for coffee and loads of baked goods.

Also the lady that works there is amazing, kinder person doesn’t exist!

Tasty food and convenient location - Edit
Had lunch here today while in Batalha, it’s a very small place with a few tables inside but several outside tables. Very compliant with COVID procedures, disinfected the menus before handing them to us and everything.
Read moreWe asked the owner about vegan options and they had a cauliflower soup and a tofu and cornbread dish. We got both and also passion fruit juice. Everything was excellent.
We will definitely come back here again in the future.

Prato vegetariano/vegan ao almoço. Opções vegan para lanches tal como muesli com bebida vegetal e fruta, sumos de fruta naturais, folhados e croissants da Pastelaria S.Mamede, etc... Simplesmente delicioso. Também tem tem take away.

First of all the lady that was working was really friendly and wanted the me to be happy and made sure a few times that everything is ok. I had a vegan mushroom soup and a spinach pie - both were delicious. And it was less than 5€. I also took a vegan buckwheat crepe that was devine.
