vegan menu - Edit

We do vegan meet ups there, one of the few restaurants with vegan menu on Gozo. And they have dessert options like vegan cake! Which is almost impossible to find elsewhere. The owner is Italian, and so is his chef, lovely people.

Nice place - Edit

I Toscani is a nice place with a very polite staff. There are a few vegan options, very tasty and with lots of good veggies, there's even a delicious vegan chocolate cake. It is a good restaurant for a casual dinner, nothing fancy. I didn't really enjoy the live music.

Pros: polite staff, tasty vegan options in all sections

Cons: some tables a little too close to the street, potatoes are too salty

Really good vegan food - Edit

The vegan main dishes and desserts were exceptional. We had home made
Pasta with home made pesto which tasted fantastic and was filling too and a mushroom couscous with salsa and an orange-mint salad all which was also really flavourful. The staff was really friendly and knew about vegan food and the vegan chocolate cake with walnuts was traditionally Italian: not too sweet but soft and tasty! Good wine and coffee.

Pros: great taste, real restaurant atmosphere , nice view over the ocean

Cons: they could add a few more vegan choices

Vegan Menu - Edit

We were told about this restaurant whilst on holidays in Marsalforn. We rang to check they had a vegan menu but were told they had a special event and set menu for that particular night so we didn't go.
We rang again another day and the vegan menu was available.
It is a fairly traditional Italian restaurant. The separate vegan menu included choices for starters, pastas, mains and desserts.
The staff understood what vegans ate and didn't eat (unlike many restaurants we have come across in Gozo).
I had 2 starters - an eggplant parmigiana and an apple and walnut salad. Both of which were good size serves and full of flavour.
I had a turmeric cake for dessert. I spoke to the chef after our meal and he said the turmeric cake was an experiment. If he can experiment like that it's worth tasting all of his experiments.
It was one of the best vegan cakes I've had.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Located across from a bay, Great service
