Hygienic place - Edit
A fancy and sterile place offering lots of vegan options and has over friendly staff. Somehow it was not really comfortable but I don't really know why.

Separate vegan menu which according to waitress they regularly change. Food was very tasty,nicely arranged and service was very quick. We were amazed. Homemade sorbets were amazing.

We started with olives and bread that had the most beautiful spices, crunch, and chewiness. We had an IPA from Denmark to elevate the flavors and quench the thirst from a SUP session on the lake. Then for the main, I had the grilled beefsteak tomato with a zucchini flower stuffed with crispy risotto and surrounded by beautiful mushrooms and tomatoes. The textures and flavors were provocative. The entire experience was rounded out with a scoop of house made chocolate sorbet accompanied by the delightful chef and waitstaff stopping by for a chat. Seriously, some of the best customer service we have ever had. Go here. Eat good food. Enjoy the hygge

Great options, seperate vegan menue but they are listed in the normal card so you don’t have to ask. Really friendly stuff, dogs are welcome. Even it was completely full the first time, the food came quit fast. Highest recommendation

HYG is located about a 1/2 mile from the boat dock. While not on the water, the restaurant has a beautiful decor with hanging plants and comfortable seating.
Read moreI arrived too late in the day to take advantage of their main menu, served for lunch and dinner. They have a separate vegan menu for those meals. The snack menu offers a seasonal salad, bread with hummus and a cauliflower soup with croutons. The seasonal salad was superb, with pickled vegetables coinciding with radishes, lettuce and seeds and nuts (hazelnuts, pumpkin seeds, etc). The bread was great as was the accompanying hummus spread.
One caveat-the prices are high.

The falafel with broccoli and almond cream was one of the nicest starters I've had in a long time. Food was really good if a little slow to come. Only one desert option but it was a really good creme brule.

Separate vegan menu with four starter and four main course choices. Only one pudding but it was a good pudding. Very friendly staff. Wee bit expensive but its Switzerland. Falafel starter was delightful. Would recommend and would definitely go back.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and although not straight on the lake, two of the tables outside have sort of a lake view.
Read moreVegan dishes are not marked on the standard menu, but they do have a separate vegan menu (you need to know and ask for it specifically).
The main courses we had were interesting but very oily and the roasted artichoke side was tasteless (it seamed canned and just heated rather than roasted).
I found the vegan desert (mango creme brulee with coconut sorbet) also disappointing, it was more of a mango pudding with a pretty synthetic tasting sorbet.
The price is quite high (32chf for 5 gyozas) they charged us 6chf for bread (which was indeed good bread, but still)

Beautiful Restaurant with Vegan Menu - Edit
During our trip to Weggis from Luzern we found this gem of a restaurant. They have a separate menu for Vegans. We ordered the pasta with basil and tomato and mushroom gyoza. Service was exceptionally friendly and fast. Food was the best we had during our trip.

Grosses Lob an die Küche! Das (vegane) Essen war einfach nur genial 😋🌱 Wir hatten einen Salat mit Kernen, Nüssen etc. und Gyoza mit Pilzen. Ganz klar ein Ort für Feinschmecker*innen! Wir kommen wieder!

They have a seperate vegan menu with 5 starters, 3 mains, 5 sides (can be combined to get a main) and one dessert. I was very happy to see the huge selection!
Read moreWe tried the salad bowl, asparagus salad (my favourite), carrot-curry soup, gyozas, fried with dip, roasted veggies and artichoke bottoms. (For bread you have to pay extra but it comes with olive oil and hummus) The food was delicious and the waitress very nice. Will definitely come back!
