Be careful

On at least two separate occasions I've been served none vegan items on a vegan dish.

One time I ordered a desert labelled vegan and it came out with diary ice-cream. It was queried and the server checked with the kitchen who said it's usually ordered by non-vegans so they just use the diary ice-cream. They then asked if I wanted a whole new desert or just the ice cream taken off the plate and replaced.

The second time my vegan breakfast came out with an egg on it. The server seemed a bit confused as she said 'vega..vegetarian breakfast.' as she handed it too me. I then queried it and a new plate of food swiftly came out (I suspect they just took the egg off). When it came back, there was some added butter in a dish and I asked if it was vegan. The same server said it wasn't but she thought I wouldn't want dry toast. I don't think she would have told me if I didn't ask.

Pros: Theoretically a wide vegan menu

Cons: Staff seem to have no idea about allergy safety , Have to double check it food is safe

Vegan options

I really like the welby. it’s fairly cheap and cheerful. good for families. the vegan fish and chips is nice. the kids meals are great and awesome value. they have vegan desserts too. it is a chain but i still recommend.

Pros: vegan dessert

Cons: chain restaurant
