Delicious vegan pizza, bread and tiramisu

The pizza was so tasty we went to eat there a second evening in a row.
Pizza is prepared before you and you can enjoy a bread snack in the meantime.
Recommend the veggie pizza !

Pros: All vegan, Kind owners

A little gem

A little pricey but tasty food. Worth it if you fancy a change from Chinese cuisine. Pasta is overpriced for what it is in my opinion but the pizza has a good crust. Food is prepared fresh to order, but the service is very slow - 45 minute wait for a pizza even though there were no other customers! Veggie and spinach pizzas are good but would not recommend the potato one.

The location on HC is still wrong. See photos for actual location.

It’s closed today. Here’s the real location.

It’s closed today. So after a long long time trying to find it. Wechat and Happy Cow report the location incorrectly. My advice is to find this the first. It’s just around the corner to the left. The sign on the wall reported elsewhere, is no longer here. I’m rambling because HC wouldn’t let me post a short review. Please check the picture of the tree and steps.

Pros: Reviews look amazing

Cons: Closed today. Locations are wrongly reported.

It won’t allow me to only update the marker. It also requires a new address. Ok. I’ll make a minor change to that

Still no good. If I make a minor change to the address (I even corrected the town name), it still thinks there is no change. Here is the new location 26.3152, 99.8527

Good food, slightly expensive

I was super hungry when I came here and tried 3 dishes (pizza, pasta and salat). All of them tastes very good and I would recommend this place.

Unexpected unique place

Had three meals over my stay in Shaxi. The food is prepared nicely in front of you. Clean, fresh, and tasty. I had a salad, starter, mushroom soup, mushroom pasta, pizza, tiramisu. Vegan cheese on the pizza. About to have my last meal. Ignore the cheap [censored]. You get what you pay for, high quality ingredients. Worth every yuan.

Pros: All vegan. Italian food in a small town!

Expensive but tasty

Since Shaxi is so small we were thrilled to have an option like this at all. It was a little hard to find as the location on the map isn't entirely correct.
We had the pasta with smoked tofu, which was very filling and tasty. Other customers ordered pizza, which was prepared from scratch while we watched. It looked absolutely delicious and we returned the next day to have the same but sadly found the restaurant closed.

Pros: very fresh

Cons: expensive

Amazing place - non-China prices

This place is delicious, satisfying and even great entertainment. It is a small area with about 10 tables circles around the kitchen/bar. You watch the staff prepare the meals and the finished product is delicious. If you are a vegan and have been travelling a while wanting some good vegan cheese or some delicious pizza. This place is for you. And if you aren’t a vegan, this is also the place for you. Prices for pizzas are between 68RMB to 98RMB.

Pros: Small menu, but easy to find something, Unique for China, Delicious

great food, a bit expensive

A very good pizza place, the staff is really friendly and the desert looks tasty (didn't order it though)
For those who like wine they have a great selection to choose from and they also sell firm vegan soaps
The down side is that it is pricey

Pros: good vegan pizza, friendly staff

Cons: pricey

Best pizza of China!

My buddy and I have had very good pizza. We really enjoyed big pizza and some pieces from French couple. Its very filling. Vegan mozzarella really tastes like real one! Unfortunately when I was there they don’t have a lot of drink choice from list except pu’er tea and wines

Pros: Vegan pizza!, Vegan Mozzarella , Friendly staffs

Cons: Limit drinks available at moment

Shaxi's hidden gem

Small space and limited menu but delicious; open kitchen; friendly staff. The mushroom soup is vegan and very filling. The pizzas are great; crust has dairy.

Pros: Made cheeseless pizza and reduced price, Chef informed us about ingredients , Good location (inside Old Town)

Cons: Not a lot of options, Pricey

perfect fusion of fine dining, creativity & taste

This restaurant its a difficult one to review. If you were just considering the culinary side this is an oasis of fine taste, fresh ingredients and cuisine creativity difficult to find in any michelin star restaurant. But what this place really is more then just fine dining. Tuck away in a little alley off Shaxi Historical square, Hungry Buddha, will provide a magic place to share experiences both with hosts and customers alike. All centered around their horse shape kitchen you will flavor food and atmosphere like you have never experienced before, thinking time has stopped for a while and all its left of the world is enclosed in that enchanting room.

Pros: excellent food, nice vibe, excellent service

Cons: so good that you can't stop coming back
