A little gem - Edit
A little pricey but tasty food. Worth it if you fancy a change from Chinese cuisine. Pasta is overpriced for what it is in my opinion but the pizza has a good crust. Food is prepared fresh to order, but the service is very slow - 45 minute wait for a pizza even though there were no other customers! Veggie and spinach pizzas are good but would not recommend the potato one.

It’s closed today. Here’s the real location. - Edit
It’s closed today. So after a long long time trying to find it. Wechat and Happy Cow report the location incorrectly. My advice is to find this the first. It’s just around the corner to the left. The sign on the wall reported elsewhere, is no longer here. I’m rambling because HC wouldn’t let me post a short review. Please check the picture of the tree and steps.

It won’t allow me to only update the marker. It also requires a new address. Ok. I’ll make a minor change to that

Still no good. If I make a minor change to the address (I even corrected the town name), it still thinks there is no change. Here is the new location 26.3152, 99.8527

Unexpected unique place - Edit
Had three meals over my stay in Shaxi. The food is prepared nicely in front of you. Clean, fresh, and tasty. I had a salad, starter, mushroom soup, mushroom pasta, pizza, tiramisu. Vegan cheese on the pizza. About to have my last meal. Ignore the cheap [censored]. You get what you pay for, high quality ingredients. Worth every yuan.

Expensive but tasty - Edit
Since Shaxi is so small we were thrilled to have an option like this at all. It was a little hard to find as the location on the map isn't entirely correct.
Read moreWe had the pasta with smoked tofu, which was very filling and tasty. Other customers ordered pizza, which was prepared from scratch while we watched. It looked absolutely delicious and we returned the next day to have the same but sadly found the restaurant closed.
Pros: very fresh
Cons: expensive

Amazing place - non-China prices - Edit
This place is delicious, satisfying and even great entertainment. It is a small area with about 10 tables circles around the kitchen/bar. You watch the staff prepare the meals and the finished product is delicious. If you are a vegan and have been travelling a while wanting some good vegan cheese or some delicious pizza. This place is for you. And if you aren’t a vegan, this is also the place for you. Prices for pizzas are between 68RMB to 98RMB.

Best pizza of China! - Edit
My buddy and I have had very good pizza. We really enjoyed big pizza and some pieces from French couple. Its very filling. Vegan mozzarella really tastes like real one! Unfortunately when I was there they don’t have a lot of drink choice from list except pu’er tea and wines

perfect fusion of fine dining, creativity & taste - Edit
This restaurant its a difficult one to review. If you were just considering the culinary side this is an oasis of fine taste, fresh ingredients and cuisine creativity difficult to find in any michelin star restaurant. But what this place really is more then just fine dining. Tuck away in a little alley off Shaxi Historical square, Hungry Buddha, will provide a magic place to share experiences both with hosts and customers alike. All centered around their horse shape kitchen you will flavor food and atmosphere like you have never experienced before, thinking time has stopped for a while and all its left of the world is enclosed in that enchanting room.

Cons: so good that you can't stop coming back
