Humo / Potheads - Edit
Humo provides dinner and shares the same space with Potheads who open for breakfast and lunch.
Read moreFor started my friend chose the guacamole which she said was the best she’d ever had in her travels anywhere. I had the crunchy salad with tortilla topping and it was divine.
For mains my friend chose a non-vegan dish and I opted for Mole. This was the first time I’ve tried Mole which was a tasting sample of four different Mole dips/sauces. One red pepper based, one chipotle, one black bean, and I think one olive based. Of the two black bean “blocks” one came wrapped in banana leaf and one in vine leaf. It was a taste experience and not unpleasant but not my usual type of dish.
Pros: A few vegan options, Good atmosphere, with a fire throwing entertainer, Staff very friendly and eager to help.

Roasted cauliflower in truffle oil is a must - Edit
I had the cauliflower which was vegan and it was delicious. Nice to swap it up a bit from all of the tacos.

Loved it! - Edit
Small and simple menu and delicious food. You can tell they only cook their specialities. The cook is grilling the food on the grill right next to you and the smell of the restaurant is nice!

Great food, despite few choices - Edit
We wanted to try RAW, but they switched to Humo at 4pm.
Read moreDespite that, we decided to try some of their vegan options, which IS vegan, but they do have the option of adding non vegan ingredients.
We tried the tomato salad and the mushroom cerviche, both were incredibly delicious 😋
If you wanted to get a complete dinner, you could, but choices are limited to a few dishes.
Pros: Vegan options are well worth it and thought out.
Cons: Could have more than one vegan main dish.

Humo is mostly meat. Daytime is raw love - Edit
Raw love on the beach is my favorite place to eat in Tulum. During the day until 3 p.m. , humo has the same food. They made my noodles very nicely, but when I got the raw chocolate cake it was semi Frozen.

Don't know what vegan is! - Edit
Actually, we wanted to visit the cafe "Raw Love", which is also listed here on Happy Cow. "Raw Love" is in the same place, but only until 4PM. As it was evening, we were presented with the menu of HUMO, and it was explained to us that the vegan dishes are clearly signed.
Read moreWhen I checked these options, there was a mushroom ceviche, a tomato salad, a beetroot salad. Among the main dishes, two were signed as vegan - it was one dish with scallops and one with grashopper!
We decided to eat somewhere else. So I can't really comment on the food, but I find it quite disturbing to find such a place on Happy Cow. Not sure if the salads at least would really have been vegan. Prices were expensive, too.
