hummus and falafel option in downtown

This place disappoints me, it has potential but it’s not quite worth it. There are cute sidewalk tables, for eating quickly outdoors.

A lot of things aren’t vegan here, the tahini sauce has dairy, and the hot sauce put in my to go bag had mayo in it. The rice isn’t vegan, has butter in it.

Our Go-To in San Mateo

Our family makes it a point to stop here when we're passing through San Mateo. Excellent hummus, and my son just loves the babaganoush.

Pros: Lots of Vegan options , GREAT pita bread, Very kid friendly

Cons: Small-is portions

Good falafel

We ate there twice. The food was fresh and delicios, but the portions were not that big.
I ordered the falafel warm mezze (which includes falafel and hummus) and my husband the vegetarian plate (falafel, hummus, vegan eggplant salad, vegan ricewraps).
The second time I ordered falafel and the eggplant salad as it had been really delicious the first time.

BUT, be CAREFUL, their pita bread is not vegan and also the sauce they serve with the falafel, both contain milk.

I don't like that this place also serves meat :(
But they have lots of vegan options so I'm happy about that.

Pros: Delicious vegan eggplant salad

Cons: Serves meat, Portions not so big
