Pros: Günstig, Leckeres Essen, Viele vegane Optionen

Cons: keine

Just great - Edit

Hummus is something that many vegans would choose if they could only bring one thing to a dessert island... (Yes, that dessert island where most vegans will be stranded at least once in life :) ).

The hummus in Hummus Barcelona is just superb. I would even say it's the best one you can taste in Barcelona city.

Most of the menu is vegan. They have recently expanded it with some other options, including seitan dishes among others.

Food is fresh and service is very good.

100% recommended if you're a hummus lover!

Pros: Hummus, Staff, Value

Cons: None

good deal for price - Edit

The restaurant offers a lunch special for 11.95 with a starter , main , and dessert . We had the regular hummus which was good but oddly tasted like eggs which as vegans was a little worrisome . The restaurant is not full vegan and does serve eggs so we asked the waitresses multiple times and they reassured to us there was no eggs but we still proceeded with caution . We then had the falafel which was really good followed by an amazing coconut desserts ! Overall this place was good

Pros: amazing vegan desserts

Fantastic food. Fresh, tasty and quick. - Edit

Tasty, fresh and delicious Mediterranean food brought out very quickly. Great lunchtime special which included 3 courses, pitta bread and a drink for €13. Mostly vegan with only one dish containing egg. Highly recommended.

Pros: delicious , fast, good value for money

Cons: limited menu options

Overpriced but tasty - Edit

I love hummus, I've grown up surrounded by lebanese and had hummus all my life. I could not finish the plate at Hummus Barcelona with pleasure. I ordered the hummus seitan and there was barely any seitan on the plate, which was disappointing because it was actually quite good.
The hummus however was too much to eat alone after the pita was finished. Maybe the plates need a rethinking or more bread should be provided. and please more seitan for almost 10€.

Pros: good

Cons: expensive af

Authentic and healthy middle eastern food - Edit

We had a very pleasant experience at this hummus restaurant. Service was super nice and friendly. The place has a great vibe and serves tasty vegan food. We tried the daily menu including mixed salad and small Mediterranean salads, hummus dish (they have different toppings to choose from) with super tasty and fresh homemade pita bread! The malabi dessert was the cherry on top. Absolutely loved this meal! We also had crusty tofu with sweet potato chips and tahini dressing- very delicious! Perfect for lunch!

Pros: Tasty Mediterranean Food, Vegan dessert, Service

Cons: Nothing

So glad to have found this place! - Edit

This is definitely my go-to place when I get this (not so) strange urge to eat some hummus. Pity enough, I have only tried one of their hummus, the Seitan, as it is so amazing I always go for that one!! Amazing falafels as well and cosy environment, not touristic at all, even though it is located right in the center. Hopefully it will remain that way!!

Pros: Hummus (duh), Ambience, Sangria

Cons: Staff

amazing restaurant with vegan options - Edit

Although the restaurant is not 100% vegan, I have to admit that is one of my favorite restaurants in Barcelona. The food is sooo good, and there are a lot of vegan options. The seitan hummus is incredible!!

Best hummus and pita I've ever had - Edit

Although it's not fully vegan, I go to this place at least twice a week. The hummus with shawarma seitan is absolutely delicious - and the homemade pita is even better.

A Menu del Día costs €11.90 and includes a starter, which is a scrummy Mediterranean/Middle Eastern salad, plus unlimited pita, a main, a dessert/coffee/tea and a drink of your choice.

The main course options for the menu are breaded tofu with sweet potato (vegetarian), shakshuka (egg poached in a peppery tomato sauce - vegetarian), falafel (vegan) and a choice of seven different types of hummus (with pita of course - all vegan).

I have been told that these two vegetarian options are the only two non-vegan things on the menu. Apparently the shakshuka is delicious and I can vouch for the breaded tofu, as I used to order it under the (mistaken) impression that it was vegan - unfortunately the bread batter contains egg.

However, you should of course go for the hummus because it is the best in town and the best I have ever tried (closely rivalled by Madrid's 'Hummusería'). Make the most of the pita too, because it is something special!

If you don't fancy going for a Menu del Día, the fucasa is also delicious and apparently fully vegan.

Pros: Best hummus in town, Amazing homemade pita, Mostly vegan

Cons: Not fully vegan, Gets busy at lunchtime

almost vegan - Edit

Lots of hummus options. Great food. Limited menu, but everything is great and almost all vegan. Good music. Aye inside because traffic on Valencia is loud. Yummy! Would be 5 stars but for egg in one dish.

Pros: mostly vegan, healthy

Cons: loud street noise for outside tables

Scrumtious - Edit

The smoothest, tastiest hummus I have ever tasted. The salad was also awesome... All the food was delicious. Lovely, wee place, great decor, music and ambience. Really liked the owner too, who was obviously (and rightly so) proud of the food offered. Even my 4 non veggie/vegan friends loved it.

muy rico! - Edit

Pros: vegan options, delicious

Delicious, Great Ambiance & Value - Edit

I'm so glad I popped in here for dinner! Everything was just delicious, and super filling too. The free starter came out with a divine cilantro oil that made me rush home to look for the recipe, and the main (a stunning seitan shawarma) tasted scrumptious. The whole meal cost me €11, and I was so full I had to take some home. The menu of the day also looked to be great value, with the €13.90 getting you two dishes plus a drink, pita, and dessert.

The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely, and this is enriched by the gorgeous staff. Just an all-around pleasant experience that I would highly recommend.

Pros: Delicious, good-value food, Lovely ambiance, Gorgeous staff

Cons: Absolutely none!

Surely the best Hummus in Town? - Edit

Beautiful hummus pit stop in Barca. Serene interior with plenty of seating and space to relax with a chick pea mash. For €11.90 you can choose a salad or soup, a variety of hummus, desert and coffee. Oh yes, as well as a glass of wine or beer. We went for the mushrooms in hummus and an Egyptian bean hummus. This was served with deliciously soft and warm pitta breads. The desert was a creamed soya milk mousse topped with almonds and a raspberry syrup. See my pictures, come to Barcelona and enjoy Hummus Barcelona

Pros: great hummus, excellent vegan choice, friendly staff

Wicked Food - Edit

We.went there by chance because we couldnt find the place we had looked for originally. By arriving we were served immidiately pity bread with some cut veg and a very very tasty sauce. We ordered Falafel, which were very tasty and a dish called Shakshura (or so). This was so nice that I would have loked to eat 2 of it at least.

Pros: vegan friendly, lovely place, nice staff

Group visit, good place - Edit

We went 13 for lunch with 3 dogs and they didn't let us eat inside so we ate on the terrace, not a big deal. The menu on weekends is 11.90€, the food is better than the average. they have a delicious salad with raw and grilled vegetables with a great sauce (white tahini and parsley). On that week they didn't have a vegan dessert so they changed it with coffe/tea(great) and a shot.

The menu was:
1. salad
2. hummus(~5 types to choose), falafel (+2 non vegan dishes)

We'll repeat.

Pros: Friendly staff, Excellent food, Afordable

Cons: They not always have vegan desserts , Pets are not allowed
