Amazing hummus - Edit

I´ll start with the main event, the hummus here is creamy and so full of flavour (with that awesome tahini bitterness). I had a whole plate of it topped with seitan for the main part of my meal and I wasn´t disappointed.

The pita is great; soft and doughy, and the lentil soup was just what was needed on an unusually incredibly rainy day in Barcelona, and felt very comforting. I really really enjoyed the sauce that came with the fried bread whilst we were debating what to order. I´d have been more than happy with even more of that for my starter!

The ambience is lovely, just the kind of place I could spend a long afternoon with friends. The menu del dia is very economical (starter, main, drink and dessert or coffee for €12)

Just small changes like having a pot of sugar for coffee instead of plastic wrapped sugar would have made it even better, but I´ll definitely be back and bringing all my friends.

Pros: Amazing hummus!, Economical, Nice vibes

good option in barcelona for a short stop - Edit

We had a few different plates. The trio of hummus the hummus itself the burger.
They were all good I personally found the pita bread fried a bit too oily but crunchy.
Everything was good but the infusion. That's definitely something to improve.

Pros: good food

yummy food - Edit

We tried the falafel burger and the oregano hummus (not sure of the exact name) which were really delicious. The portions though were very small considering the prices weren’t cheap. The potato fries were a cool idea but definitely wouldn’t fill you up as the were just shaved bits of potato. Nice place and good food just wish it was either cheaper or had bigger portions :)

Amazing Experience! - Edit

Very nice and Cosy restaurant, with homemade vegetarian food, and many vegan options, including a stunning Falafel Burger! It's garnished with a delicious beetroot tasting hummus sauce and eggplant, and was really unique, flavors that I never tried before! Oh and they have multiple hummus varieties, accompanied by fresh homemade pitas!

Pros: many vegan options, homemade recipes, local ingred

Dissapointment - Edit

"I had huge expectations on this place, as I had read many good opinions. And at first, the place seemed to be very nice, however I got very disappointed:
- The hummus of bigger size was good for one person, but not enough for two, so forget about sharing it.
- I asked for a vegan burger, but this one was served with mayonaise, wtf?
- The service was very slow and misinformed about the meals.
- No vegan items labelled.
- The conditioned air was off and it was very hot inside.
I must admit that seitan shaorma was very good. I also would like to have the vegan coconut pudding with rose water but finally I was not in mood..."

Pros: nice shoarma seitan

Cons: not sure about vegan options

Cozy place, fresh food! - Edit

Nice place with a good atmosphere, very cozy and friendly. The food is fresh and simple but really tasty, the portions are adequate but a bit expensive, but nothing crazy, it's affordable.

Pros: Nice location, Cool atmosphere, Fresh food

Cons: Small portions

Hit and miss - Edit

We came here with my parents and everyone tried something different. My Dad's Seiten Focaccia was by far the best and also the most reasonably priced. Everything was very tasty but too expensive for what you get. Fifteen euros for two Seitan Skewers with Asparagus, which only had one (!) stalk of asparagus on the plate, is overpriced for Barcelona. The kebab is more a burger without a bun and the Chef Salad had hardly any Seitan with it either.

Pros: Nice place, nice service , tasty

Cons: overpriced, misleading descriptions

A fantastic place to have lunch - Edit

-Delicious food
-Great price
-Nearly everything on the menu was vegan
-Excellent service (the staff spoke several languages and were helpful)

My only criticism is that It would be good to have the vegan options (and other dietary requirements) marked on the menu. It was easy enough to ask, but it would be simpler if it was indicated.

Very good hummus - Edit

The hummus is very smooth: to be fair, it's not the best hummus I ever had, but it's still very good! The focaccia is actually pitta bread with hummus and either seitan or mushrooms on top, it's very good!
Don't go there too late, because one day we got there at 22:45 and the kitchen was already closed. Had to go back the day after, this time at around 22:10, and we managed to have dinner! :--)

Best Hummus in Barcelona - Edit

Yum. If you love hummus, you'll enjoy eating here. The hummus options are so flavorful, and the pitas are so soft and tasty. The combo was perfect.

The hummus comes with only one pita, so you have to order more to finish the hummus with. But hey, it's just a perfect excuse to enjoy more delicious pita.

The only con, if you care about oil and salt, is that it's oily and salty, but you can ask them to leave the extra oil off the hummus when they serve it. As for salt, some dishes are less salty than others. Mushroom and regular hummus are the two that will be less salty.

Pros: Excellent food, Good value

Cons: Only comes with one pita

Pros: Günstig, Leckeres Essen, Viele vegane Optionen

Cons: keine

Just great - Edit

Hummus is something that many vegans would choose if they could only bring one thing to a dessert island... (Yes, that dessert island where most vegans will be stranded at least once in life :) ).

The hummus in Hummus Barcelona is just superb. I would even say it's the best one you can taste in Barcelona city.

Most of the menu is vegan. They have recently expanded it with some other options, including seitan dishes among others.

Food is fresh and service is very good.

100% recommended if you're a hummus lover!

Pros: Hummus, Staff, Value

Cons: None

good deal for price - Edit

The restaurant offers a lunch special for 11.95 with a starter , main , and dessert . We had the regular hummus which was good but oddly tasted like eggs which as vegans was a little worrisome . The restaurant is not full vegan and does serve eggs so we asked the waitresses multiple times and they reassured to us there was no eggs but we still proceeded with caution . We then had the falafel which was really good followed by an amazing coconut desserts ! Overall this place was good

Pros: amazing vegan desserts

Overpriced but tasty - Edit

I love hummus, I've grown up surrounded by lebanese and had hummus all my life. I could not finish the plate at Hummus Barcelona with pleasure. I ordered the hummus seitan and there was barely any seitan on the plate, which was disappointing because it was actually quite good.
The hummus however was too much to eat alone after the pita was finished. Maybe the plates need a rethinking or more bread should be provided. and please more seitan for almost 10€.

Pros: good

Cons: expensive af

Authentic and healthy middle eastern food - Edit

We had a very pleasant experience at this hummus restaurant. Service was super nice and friendly. The place has a great vibe and serves tasty vegan food. We tried the daily menu including mixed salad and small Mediterranean salads, hummus dish (they have different toppings to choose from) with super tasty and fresh homemade pita bread! The malabi dessert was the cherry on top. Absolutely loved this meal! We also had crusty tofu with sweet potato chips and tahini dressing- very delicious! Perfect for lunch!

Pros: Tasty Mediterranean Food, Vegan dessert, Service

Cons: Nothing
