An unexpected surprise - Edit
There's a flashy mall in the Somerset / Orchard Road area that welcomes visitors via a long escalator surrounded by colourful arches. The entrance to this place is like a journey by itself and thus I wondered up those escalators. To my surprise, one of the first shops I encountered at this posh mall is "Humble Seeds". It oozes bio, eco, macrobiotic and all things healthy. This little shop sells organic ingredients for healthy cooking, the actual pods and pans to prepare a meal, bio snacks and as some cloths. And don't forget there's a collection of refrigerated products just around the corner where the staff sits.
Read moreThe staff is very friendly, speaks 3 languages and is kind enough to show the products. I bought some sesame rice cookies and they were delicious. If it says anything about the quality of the other products, this is a good start.
Good to know, "Humble Seeds" is next to a vegetarian restaurant called "Real Food". In fact, the two are so close together that I took the pictures of Humble Seeds from the Real Food restaurant!
