upmarket vegetarian restaurant in District 1

beautiful decor, extremely helpful staff, and an inventive vegetarian menu - I'd guess about half of it was vegan, but as the menu is huge there is still plenty of choice. The food was very good, as were the juices. Pricey by Vietnam standards, but much cheaper than a comparable fine dining restaurant in the UK, and well worth it

Our fave spot in January 2018

The spot is upscale and beautiful. Very delicious and flavourful. Prices were in line with the quality and a bargain compared to home. There was a lot of variety. Knowledgeable staff and English menus available

great find

Really good. Yes it is upmarket and sure you pay for that but excellent dishes, attentive service (coconut milk had been switched for cow milk and waitress checked and came back). Vegan dishes are marked on the menu and all dishes veggie. I went on Sunday evening and it was nearly full so mifht be wirth ringing ahead. Definitely coming back

Our new favourite restaurant! wow!!

From the moment you walk in, there is a sense of something special. Both times we went ( and were only in town for 3 days) there we monks, in full attire eating next to us. There’s beautiful and calming music playing. The entire experience feels very organic.
The food is outstanding. We tried so many things, to many to mention but everything we had was delicious.
There’s so much depth to the flavours here, multiple dimensions and flavours there were new to our palette.
Will upload so photos we took,
If you have the chance - GO HERE!!!

absolutely delicious!!

Absolutely delicious food. It is expensive by Vietnam standards - still a lot cheaper than Australia. If you are looking for amazing, delicious food in an upmarket restaurant in district 1 - then go to Hum. We paid $62 for a family of 4 which included drinks.

Amazing!

After the war museum we could use some good food.
We sat in the terras and were so pleasantly surprised.
Service was golden and she helped us pick 3 dishes we could share.
It looked and tasted beautiful.
Most expensive meal in Vietnam, but worth every penny.

Fancy and good

Our most expensive meal in Vietnam, but normal price for a US meal. The food was all quite good. It would have been nice if they served the courses one after another instead of all at once though.

Best Food in Saigon

Absolutely beautiful. Food was amazing and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Highly...highly recommended. Mostly plant based with a few dishes containing egg. Myself and my partner had 2 cocktails and 4 dishes...we were full and only cost us AU $50.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing

Cons: Many vegan choices but add more! :-)

Fine dining vegetarian

Stunning interior, attentive service, large menu with photos, great variety to choose from. Also an interesting cocktail menu which we were happy to make our way through. Not all dishes are vegan but most are or can be made vegan. The tofu in chili sauce was an absolute winner, the mushrooms with ground rice was very Thai and lovely, the taro in curry sauce was beautiful and the vermicelli hot pot was great and not too sweet. Prices are expensive for vegetarian food in HCMC, but compared to Western fine dining restaurants it's still really cheap. Highly recommend having a night out here.

Pros: Huge menu, Wonderful food, Lovely setting

best veg in town

This Hum location offers the best atmosphere and tastiest food of any veg restaurant in town. Nice interior decor, great service with good English proficiency, and a large menu that includes many vegan options. Excellent fresh-milled fruit and veg juice selection, with sugar on the side instead of pre-mixed into your drinks.

Pros: many vegan options, English menu, English-speaking staff, classy atmosphere

not the cheapest!

But.. 100,000 dong for a beautifully made curried coconut, tofu and something else id never heard of, I'm definitely not complaining! I'm full, and it was made clearly with clean ingredients. Would 100% recommend

Atmosphere!

The atmosphere was better than the food, but the food was okay. Very cozy place.

Cons: My spicy dish wasn't spicy at all

best meal we had in Ho Chi Min City

We had the banana leaf salad (a tiny bit too spicy for us), the deep fried veggies, square spring rolls (amazing!) and the special crispy fried rice (best fried rice I've had ever, and I'm 42 years old!!).

Highly recommended oasis of calm and yumminess in a hectic city.
