presentation :-0000

food is so well presented, staff make sure allergy restrictions are being followed. even moved my bfs cheese off his food so i could eat it he he ;-). spinach fried rice is a must, the tofu filled the egg shaped hole in my heart, coulda done with a bit more sauce but that’s just because im a saucy little boy.

Nice, more fancy option

Found this restaurant because it was the closest to where we were and it was nice to come across a more upscale, fancy vegetarian restaurant. Good sized menu with vegan options labelled clearly. Slightly on the pricy side and not overly big portions but two people shared two dishes and it was enough, drinks were lovely as well.

Creatively made and beautifully presented

The food are exotic in a good way and visually aesthetically presented. The place is on the pricier side, but definitely worth it.

Amazing food

But spoilt that this was our first meal in Vietnam! Service was great... our eyes were too big for our stomachs and we ate a large selection from the menu. Loved the dried foods, pumpkin rice dish was fantastic as well. Spidey winged bean and cashew dish was a winner!

Pros: Vegan , Traditional vietnamese , Experimental

Lots of vegan options

Loved the ambiente and good menu, so many vegan options but I wasn't blown away. The presentation of the food was great though.
Good range of teas and cocktails.
Take a light jumper or scarf with you, it's pretty cold in there.

Pros: Many vegan options , Friendly staff , Super fast service

Cons: Cold inside

Simply Delicious

My sister n I came here last night for dinner n realised that there was so much if just mouth watering choice of food. Every dish was exquisite n each tasting very different. A must for foodies to experience. We came back for lunch next day for more! Service was just excellent. Staff had good knowledge on dishes we chose.

Pros: Brilliant ambience.

Cons: None

Nice but not perfect

A lot of dishes in the menu are marked as vegetation and not vegan - without any clear reason. The waitress did help us and also made our hotpot vegan by removing the egg from it. Anyway, it is true that there are more vegetation dishes than vegan, but there is a decent amount of interesting options.
The hotpot was great, but not the best we had.
For dessert we had sticky rice with mango that was tasty as always and a black sesame soup which was nice.

Favourite restaurant in Saigon

Hum is our absolute favourite. We have been coming to Hum since it opened some years ago. The food is inventive, incredibly detailed and a pleasure for the palate.

We have tried almost everything on the menu, special favourites are the oven baked coconut shell with tofu (ask for it without egg) all the various rolls, the green curry. The stand out dish is the square cake which is stuffed with various mushrooms, eaten with a variety of leaves and star fruit for balance of flavours. Anything with mushrooms at Hum is so good.

The drinks are also works of art, beautiful interior, great service, we have brought lots of visitors to Saigon here, even a daily meat eater who didn’t notice it was vegetarian until we left and he looked up at the sign outside. We love Hum❤️

small portions high price 'what's in this dish' STAFF = "I don't know"

beautiful stunning interior. but am there for the food. The food was 'okay', nothing special in terms of vegetarian. your paying for the ambience. portions were way too small the price was not worth it. over rated in my opinion.

Staff doesn't know much about the dishes. Sad for the price we paid we expect them to know every single ingredient.

Pretty good

Went there knowing it's supposed to be a higher end place so was expecting a higher price.
The food was enjoyable and I had a good meal. Had the mixed salad with nuts, steamed local veggies, tofu in fermented bean sauce and some vrown rice. Finished with mango sticky rice.
The staff were friendly, though not the most competent as I would expect for a "fancy" restaurant. Asked some questions about the dishes, like what are the "local veggies" which they didn't know. Also the service was slow.
The place has very nice decor, would recommend if you want to treat yourself.

Pros: Vegan options clearly labelled

Cons: Not a lot of vegan options, unknowlegable staff

The best Vegan dinner I’ve had in Saigon!!

Hum Vegetarian is an absolute must!!! There were endless vegan options. The ingredients are so fresh and their menu is endless. The staff , particularly Tuyen Le and Phoung could not be more friendly and the atmosphere is fun and refreshing.
I am vegan had the Pomelo Salad and the fresh wild mushroom stir fry- so good! To drink , I started with a lemongrass rosemary detox and ended with the grassy martini. When I come back through Saigon, I will be sure to hit one of their 3 locations again!!!

Pros: All vegetarian/vegan menu , Amazingly friendly staff , A menu that goes on forever

Don’t go if you’re vegan

Unless you only want a salad or soup there’s hardly any vegan options. We went for the only vegan option there was to have with rice and it was really tasteless and not very big. This is before I even mention the prices! You can get incredible vegan food in Ho Chi Minh city for a third of the price. Really not worth it.

Pros: Nice decor

Cons: Very few vegan main courses, Tasteless food

Amazing food

As we hadn’t a reservation we had to wait for around 20 minutes for a table, and it was so worth the wait. The decor is very upmarket & instagrammable. Many people were taking photos of their surroundings, as well as the food. I loved they had a bookshelf full of books including a few travel books yo read whilst you waited. Service was okay, and servers made a point of asking whether we were okay with eggs, as we weren’t they veganized our dish for us. They actually forgot to bring out one of our mains, which was fortunate as 2starters & 1 main was more than enough for us. The fried tofu appetiser was delicious & the spring rolls with mushrooms were too tasty for words.
There was no plant milk available for our coffees so we had it black.
Pricier than most places in HCMC but we’ll worth it

Outstanding Vegetarian/Vegan Vietnamese

Hum serves creative and delicious Vietnamese vegetarian and vegan foods in a beautiful setting. The menu is extensive and uses fresh local ingredients which are presented very attractively. Service is good. You can certainly eat a delicious vegetarian Vietnamese meal less expensively than Hum, but if you are looking for something special, you won’t be disappointed.

Pros: Lots of great options

Quality restaurant

Fabulous decor and environment with friendly efficient service. The food quality is very high and the price is to match. This is western pricing so don’t come expecting cheap Vietnamese food. I find the portion sizes small so end up ordering 3 dishes to feel full (vegan whole food plant based). Love the drinks selection with so many healthy options.

Upmarket restaurant with tasty veggie food

A nice upmarket vegetarian restaurant in District one. The staff are very attentive, down to putting the napkin on your lap! Dishes that are vegan and can be made vegan are clearly marked on the menu but make sure to tell them you're vegan when ordering them. Service is prompt and dishes don't take too long to prepare but yet are freshly made. For Vietnam the prices are expensive but if you're coming from western countries it's still extremely affordable. The food is nice but the price probably includes the atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant. I would be happy to come back here again. Also toilets are extremely clean as is restaurant overall.

Pros: Vegan items clearly labelled, Attentive staff, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Pricey for Vietnam

Good if with none with people.

I have been to Hum in District 1 and District 2. The atmosphere is great and more upscale but the vegan food choice has nothing special. Unless you want some salads or starters there is only one or two main course that is vegan.

Pros: Luxurious atmosphere , Vegan and non vegan

Cons: Nothing special , Better at Man tu in District 1. Near by , A coconut is the price of a meal elsewhere

A vegetarian‘s heaven!

An upmarket dedicated vegetarian and vegan Vietnamese restaurant. Service was prompt and staff were particular about making sure of our food intolerances before taking orders. We ordered Thai curries with brown rice. Their raw vegetable spring rolls are to die for. A bit on the expensive side but much cheaper than UK where such specialist meal would cost 3 times more.
We visited the Hum branch near the Vietnamese war museum as well which was just as good
Highly recommended

Pros: Staff enquire about food intolerances before taki, Ambience

Cons: Touch expensive but much cheaper than UK

Nice - recommended

Lots of vegan options (they asked if I was OK with milk/eggs, and when I said no they said they could make what I ordered vegan), upscale feel but not expensive

Tasty, friendly and awesome. This place hits all the marks. Even when we arrived so late in evening, we were welcomed and seated with smiles and energy. Wait staff recommended meals and were great to chat to. Clearly care about their customers. Food divine. A must if you are into good quality veg food. Five stars.
