Not bad - Edit
This place is okay if you're right in the touristic centre of Edinburgh and want to get a bite to eat. There are lots of veg. options. The Vegan poke bowl was okay but a little bland perhaps. It maybe needed some sort of oil or dressing to give it more flavour.
Read moreThe beetroot/hummus toast was pretty good. The blueberry vegan cheesecake was ok, not amazing but good enough. The breakfast tea was disappointingly weak.
Prices are a little higher than normal, so it's not really great value, but useful if you're in the area and don't want to go hunting around for more veg. options.
Pros: Good selection, Central location, Helpful/friendly staff
Cons: Vegan poke bowl a little bland, Weak tea, A bit pricey

Yumalicious!😋 - Edit
I managed to drag my dad and brother along with me to the Hula Juice Cafe after their lunch at Subway, and I’m so glad I got to go there! I ordered an Açai bowl, cause I’ve always wanted to try one, and it was delicious. Great portion size, and plenty of toppings and served on a coconut bowl! I highly recommend and will definitely be returning!👍🏼

Yummy lunch - Edit
Last time I visited Hula Juice Bar I had the rainbow bowl for lunch. On this day was made of chana dahl, cucumber, quinoa, tomatoes and toasted coconut flakes. Ohmygoodness it was delicious! The dahl was rich and had a beautiful coconut flavour, perfectly paired with the quinoa and salad. The Rainbow Bowl changes every day, but it will always be vegan – so keep an eye on the specials board for the day’s combo.

good for a quick bite - Edit
Wanted to eat breakfast, but the small space was full and we didn't want to wait for a table, so we bought a few sandwiches and a carrot-ginger-orange juice to go. The juice was delicious, and the sandwich (hummus and roast veggie) was surprisingly good.

Decent vegan options in the Grassmarket - Edit
Hula is always a reliable place for decent vegan food options in the Grassmarket. While they don’t offer anything particularly fancy for vegans, you can be sure to get something filling and nutritious here. In the past I’ve had sandwiches and avocado toast from them and both have been pretty good.

Acai Bowls - Edit
My favourite place I've ever been for acai bowls. Lovely cafe, light and spacious with good atmosphere. Lots of healthy but delicious food. My favourite is obviously the acai bowl but I have been back numerous times to try lovely avocado toast, and a good coconut curry. One of my go-tos.

Good Food - Edit
Omni boyfriend and I went here for breakfast on a saturday morning. The staff kindly let us store our big suitcases in the back area of the cafe while we ate and service was quick too. I got the açaí bowl with a ginger jack juice and the boyfriend got the open salmon sourdough sandwich and a nutty professor milkshake. both drinks were good, my juice had the perfect amount of ginger, which I love, and my boyfriends drink was also very good according to him. I don’t know how the açaí bowl compared to others as it’s the first time I’d tried one but I thought it was delicious, with generous amounts of toppings and really great portion sizes. The boyfriends meal portion was huge! Really good value for money, and we also tried the raw vegan snickers bar slice and the summer berry, hazelnut and chocolate vegan brownie from the cabinet which were both really yummy too! Definitely would go back for the food, and I’m excited to try some of the other options on the menu

Delicious but a little pricey - Edit
I enjoyed my visit to Hula today. The food and drinks were incredible and was impressed by the wide range of vegan options. I would definitely go again. My only criticisms is that it is a little pricey and the sit in smoothies are served in disposable containers. But apart from that, I loved it!

Delicious vegan food, drinks and cake! - Edit
One of my favourite eateries in Edinburgh for Vegan food, they serve a range of vegan meals and daily vegan options - including soups, rainbow bowls, hot pots, wraps and sandwiches in a relaxed and friendly cafe. They have a big selection of vegan cakes which are just as satisfying! Definitely recommend.

Hula is a good size but it was till really busy. I decided to Soy outside rather than get takeaway and enjoyed chilling watching the tourists pass.
Read moreI asked for vegan choices and they gave me four or five, a couple hot and a couple cold. early December and heat was needed! I opted for the rainbow bowl. As I say outside they updated the specials board to say the rainbow bowl was now daal based and I had a wee bit of food envy.
when unordered it was tofu based and ingot two last portion which came in an Asian sauce, Malaysian/Indonesian, and had a little spice as well as heat. topped with a variety of salad it was filling and tasty as....
really worth a visit.
Stopped for a rainbow bowl today and gave. A happy cow decal, the first I've given to a non veggie place. They just get food, so tasty yet so [edit by staff] healthy
Visited again this week and had a healthy nutritious poke which was a bargain at £6.50.

Went in to get a vegan poké bowl, barely any food in it, not much rice. There was meant to be tofu and sesame in there, wasn't any. Still very hungry afterwards, disappointing for 10 pounds. Bad music, too loud. Staff were ok.
