Serves meat, vegan options available. Restaurant with a changing menu that includes vegan dishes or vegetarian dishes that can be made vegan. Relocated from 118 Main St. Open Tue-Sat 4:30pm-9:00pm.
Closed Sun-Mon.
We made reservations for this place for the rehearsal dinner for our daughter’s wedding. She and her fiancée are Vegan. They had zero Vegan options for dinner even though they claim to. Very disappointing! After ordering drinks we needed to look for another option for dinner. Take this place off your list!
Made a reservation for a Thursday night in April, but no need to do so. New space since the floods in 2023: tiny door and narrow staircase up to lovely space on 2nd and 3rd floors with a huge outdoor deck. I had the housemade black bean burger instead of the Korean Spicy Tofu, because I am a wimp. Fun cocktails, vegetarian and carnivore options as well. A great dinner stop between Boston and Montreal!
This is a slightly upscale restaurant, but being that it's in Vermont, as far as dress goes that simply means putting on a clean flannel shirt and clean jeans after a day of skiing or hiking :-). So, this is a nice place and all of the food appears to be homemade - nothing processed such as Beyond and Impossible.
We created an entire gourmet vegan meal right off the menu, including: Veg dumplings (homemade, and even though it was just an appetizer, they came sauteed with bok choy and lots of other colorful fresh veggies.), homemade pickle plate - if you like pickles you will love these - artfully arranged cauliflower, zucchini and mushrooms, all pickled, and served with rosemary crisp bread. They were so much better than store-bought. Then, huge pieces of chickpea pakora which were absolutely divine - better than most Indian restaurants as a matter of fact - definitely a gourmet spin, plus an amazing plum-based dipping sauce. We also shared the Pad Thai with tofu which, while not as amazing as the other dishes, was still great and hearty. Didn't have to hold the egg or fish sauce because it came with neither. We didn't try the homemade beet burger but next time definitely will. They were out of the fancy vegan dessert but did have non-dairy sorbet which was lovely.
This is a nice place, for a nice evening out, a bit more pricey than other places nearby, but it's perfect for more special evenings. Friendly service, they know what vegan means, and there is plenty on the menu to choose from, with no processed foods. Definitely recommended.

Cons: Higher prices but worth it for special evening
