No vegan options at all - Edit
It was meant to have vegan options but I think they have got mixed up with vegetarian as some places do, there were no vegan options at all and they didn't really understand it, eventually got a thin pizza base made up with veg on it but no sauce at all and was expensive for what it was.

Nice surprise - Edit
This is a straightforward cafe serving Italian food. But, it’s REALLY good. So much so that it’s out of place in this small town in Zanzibar. My best guess as to why this place exists is because there seems to be a large Italian community here, and this place clearly isn’t sourcing its ingredients locally (either they are coming from Dar or even all the way from Italy in some cases). The upshot is that it has all the vegan sort of things you might expect at an Italian cafe, and the quality is fantastic and really no more expensive than the hugely marked up tourist prices you’ll be paying to eat “local” food. All a long way of saying this is totally worth checking out in order to get some really good Italian food in a place where you might not expect it.
