Best pad Thai we’ve had in Thailand so far! - Edit
So there’s two places named hug/hut right next to each other and they’re owned by the same people but one is open during 8-5 and one is open 5-8pm. We first went for lunch and had an amazing pad Thai (although the portions are tiny so maybe order two each!!). We then went to the other place for dinner and they had a whole veggie menu which was easily made vegan. They spoke good English and we just typed out no oyster sauce on translate just to be sure. The food was great and authentic. The deep fried tofu was amazing!

Some vegetarian/vegan options - Edit
A good restaurant with some veg options. They understand me that I don't want fish sauce and the eggs. Not so big portions.

Good food and vegan understood well - Edit
Oct2020 - ordered noodles with veg and asked for tofu to be added. I was asked if I eat egg and if I was 'jay'. I said yes and it was well understood. My dish was very tasty, if only a small portion. My husband ate 2 meat dishes and enjoyed both of them.

Back again for dinner - phad Thai chicken and Phad Krapow pork for my husband (2 empty plates!), phad see ew tofu (no egg) and stir fried kale and tofu for me (another 2 empty plates!)
Pros: Friendly service, Good price, Understand vegan (jay)
Cons: Small portions

Not a Great Experience - Edit
Sorry to report that we were not keen on this place. We tried to go to the Nest 2 but it was full and we saw this place opposite had a listing on HappyCow so we tried it out. They do have clearly listed vegetarian dishes but not vegan, although they did seem to understand. However, the food was very plain and boring. We also had to wait an extremely long time even though there was only two of us, it seems they only have one cook and have to make one meal at a time so we had to watch another table have all their meals brought out one by one before ours were. On the plus side, they have brown rice and the food is very cheap. They also don't seem to be too rushed to close the kitchen at the time that they state.

Delicious and simple - Edit
We wanted to eat a cheap meal and had had drinks here a couple of times. We had a fried noodles dish which came out quickly and was really tasty. The menu has lots of vegan and vegetarian options and they asked us if egg was ok. They also have a beautiful cat!
