Vegan friendly... - Edit
Hudson St. Deli has plenty of vegan options, but all pretty basic. This isn't a place to go out of the way to visit if you are simply passing through PVD, but a good place for locals to get something different. I was quite disappointed (but should've thought to ask) with the cold tofu on my sandwich - it was just that, cold plain tofu mashed up in a grinder roll - no seasoning/marinade. I believe we only get one chance when introducing someone to tofu - not many will come back for cold plain tofu. Friendly service!

Classic breakfast foods made vegan - Edit
Yummy place, super nostalgic to be able to get a breakfast sandwich with vegan substitutions for cream cheese, cheese, bacon, sausage, etc. I heard sometimes they have vegan egg too!

Good breakfast sandwiching and decent bagel - Edit
Had a hardy vegan breakfast sandwich. The bagels could be improved, definitely not like a New York bagel. Vegan cream cheese option was ok.

Bomb breakfast sandwhich - Edit
I got a vegan BLT on a plain bagel with vegan Mayo and added the tofu scramble and it was amazing. The bagel was toasted perfectly, they put 3 layers of tempeh bacon and the tofu scramble was really tasty. (The only downside was the tofu scramble was a bit oily but I’m just sensitive to oil.)

Great food! - Edit
I had the George with a side of hash browns. It was a good size and very filling. I love breakfast and it’s a short drive from work. It hit the spot, will be back to try other items.

Great vegan breakfast sammy! - Edit
We get a breakfast sandwich here every few weeks as a treat to ourselves. I’ve been vegan about 3 years and still miss a good breakfast sandwich. This always hits the spot. I normally build my own sandwich.

Found this place thanks to HappyCow! It was a beautiful day today so we got to sit outside in the quiet neighborhood where the deli is located. Had the George on an everything bagel, yum!

Try The George - Edit
The George is a vegan breakfast sandwich. YUM! They also have great coffee and a variety of plant milks. They also have vegan pizza strips. As a native Rhode Islander, I can't wait to try them!

vegan options, confusing set up - Edit
I’ve been here a few times. Today I got an everything bagel with tofu, vegan cheese, sausage and lettuce and tomato.
Read moreMy sandwich was pretty good, it’s kind of messy so make sure to grab napkins! Parts of it were very salty and I’m not sure why but I’ll mention it in the future.
In my experience the service isn’t great. The menu and set up of the restaurant is confusing for customers, especially first timers.
Overall, it’s great to have a cheap, easy vegan breakfast option in Providence.
Pros: easy vegan options , affordable
Cons: confusing menu and set up, mediocre service

The menu was a little overwhelming so I just got a bagel and hummus spread but was surprised how cheap and delicious it was!

traditional style deli with a community and eco-friendly flair - Edit
Looks deceiving from the outside tucked in a residential area. Walking in it looks like a traditional deli. Service is extremely friendly, eco conscious and the menu has a bunch of breakfast and lunch options (lots of gf, too!) Including vegan cream cheese, tofu egg sandwiches, vegan cheese, tempeh bacon, vegan sausage and much more!

A Win for Hudson St.! - Edit
This is the place to go if you are vegan. Friendly customer service, cool atmosphere and plenty of vegan options. I came at about 10:30 am so I'm sure I missed the rush, that is a good thing because seating is limited. I ordered an everything begal (it's vegan) and vegan cream cheese....simple, yet delicious. They were not stingy with the cream cheese and the cream cheese was soft and slightly melted from the warmth of the bagel. There are plenty of vegan options on the menu.
Read moreIf that wasn't enough they have a tv screen that says "Solidarity withStanding Rock" and "RI Resist Hate." I love places that also care about social justice.
I'm sorry I didn't discover this place sooner...it's a hidden gem! If the system allowed I'd give this place 5 stars.
Pros: Friendly Customer Service, Vegan Options, Positive Atmosphere
Cons: Limited Seating
