Formerly amazing burgers, now reduced

Edit: seems to have hugely reduced vegan options and vegan burgers can no longer be done gf. We can no longer eat there which is a big shame.

We had a beyond all star burger, beyond bacon double cheese burger, kids beyond chicken burger, fries and cowboy beans. All really delicious, especially the burgers and beans. I had the All star in a gluten free bun which was also actually nice. We'll definitely try more.

Ok but..

Food is ridiculously expensive, the double burger is nearly £18 without chips!! Even the standard burger is £11 without chips.. not worth it I’m afraid. Food is nice but as it’s beyond and branded facon there’s little flair and just cooked off processed food. The chips are very oily and gave my daughter a tummy ache. Positive the onion rings and beans were good.
Service was lacking and several things were forgotten so had to just go without. Also when we visited they had no vegan ch*cken burgers which was a real shame.
Venue itself is nice but I’m afraid we wouldnt return

Pros: Good burger selection, Can’t go wrong with beyond burgers, They provide smashed avocado for baby

Cons: Very very expensive!, Lots of items weren’t available, They forgot several things things

Disappointing

I was excited to visit as I had seen the menu online and saw there were many vegan options. I ordered one of the beyond burgers with a gluten free bun and my boyfriend ordered a regular beyond burger. After 30 minutes, we were told they had run out of gluten free buns so they could make a deconstructed burger with more salad and a complimentary side of chips (as they usually are extra). It took a further 30 minutes for the food to arrive, by which time we were starving, only for the food to be extremely average and unremarkable. We paid the bill and realized afterwards that they charged us nearly £9 for some chicken nuggets we never had (and would never order), so it was an extra hassle to get that refunded as well.

Lovely setting, lots of options

Lots of options - personal favourite was the beans side. Felt my burger (Fakin Bacon) was lacking a little in flavour, but great option particularly if with a mixed group. Their order to table app was good too.

Cool venue good food

Fairly small but nice vegan menu.
Staff all super friendly and helpful.
Amazing indoor and outdoor eating areas with the converted church and covered outdoor space.

So much choice, so little stomach

Set in a beautiful converted chapel, the menu offers so much choice for vegans that I had to over-order so I wouldn’t miss out on anything. It did not disappoint.

Pros: Lots of choice, Good if you are with a carnist, Delicious, doesn’t feel like you are settling

Cons: You do pay more for plant dogs than normal, No vegan milkshakes

Coffee

The staff are goog, but charging 75p extra to swap out the milk in the coffee, or 25p extra to have a milkshake with the cows milk, dairy ice cream, and wiped cream removed and replaced with oat milk and ice is annoying.
Edit: Always question/complain after you've received your food. I took two bits of my sausage and it tastes like perfume where as my daughter's does not.

Pros: Great staff

Cons: I'm still in need of coffee 😆

Juicy burgers and great music

Came up to this part of town to try the vegan cafe but it was closed on Mondays. The veggie cafe opposite was open but didn't take dogs. So we randomly went to Hub and we were really pleasently surprised. The burgers were tasty, they had oat milk and a great range of beer, and they played a nice selection of indie tunes.

Pros: Vegan burgers, chilli and hot dogs, Good food, Good music

Cons: A little on the expensive side

Hubbox review

Came here for lunch for my husband's birthday and expecting not much choice for me but I was so surprised and I had loads to choose from. Aswell as a brilliant completely vegan meal I had a lovely cappuccino with oat milk and the staff was brilliant, even telling me how they prepare their vegan meals and asking if we were happy with everything. Very happy customer and would definitely return.

Pros: Atmosphere, Variety in menu, Friendly staff

Cons: Toliets are upstairs, Bit more expensive than usual
