环珠阁素食馆, at 东河区医院往东50米路北同十首歌旁, is a small veggie restaurant. Menu is in Chinese only. Buddhist atmosphere. Directions: when you are at the north gate of Renmin Park, turn right into Ximen Dajie, the place is after 50 to 100 meters on the opposite site of the road, nearly the last one in a row of small shops and restaurants.

A vegetarian surprise in boring Baotou - Edit
The cook didn't allow me to order plan rice but was not able to explain what he had in mind for me (my Chinese is poor, his English was even worse). Het surprised me with a plate of small delicious pancakes stuffed with all kinds of vegetables.
I think I was the first foreigner to visit their restaurant.
Pros: Excellent food, Friendly staff , Good value
Cons: No English menu, No English speaking staff
