Great service - Edit
My boyfriend and I ordered food here late one night, and since we don't know Icelandic we kind of just guessed when pressing numbers on the phone.
Read moreWe ended up ordering food at another location instead of the one down the street (had no idea there were other locations).
They ended up calling the other location explaining the situation, and then they quickly made us our meal. They were so sweet, accommodating, and understanding.
Food was great, tons of vegan options.
The onion pakodas were so yummy, and they had vegan naan which is a huge plus!
Pros: Vegan options, Friendly staff

Fantastic - Edit
The large servings (even for lunch) were welcome after our flight to Keflavik. Everything was so delicious and vegan options were clearly marked on the menu. This is always a huge plus for me. Several options.

Great find - Edit
So pleased I went here. Great vegan options available. I opted for the vegan Thali which was really delicious. The portion was massive so much so, I couldn’t even manage it all! Definitely recommend a visit.

Some vegan options but probably not the best in the city. Seems like the options are more an afterthought. Food was tasty and fresh

Deleicious and large portions - Edit
Located in a nice area by the lake, this was a great choice for dinner. You’ll be seated by a server, but then go up to the bar to order and pre-pay. There are three main vegan dishes on the menu, so I recommend the Thali as you get all three plus vegan naan, rice, a pakora/fritter, and chutney. The thali was excellent and a large portion of food for one person. Very filling. Would recommend!

Had the vegan thali which was a platter with different dishes. Since it‘s veganuary, everything vegan is 20% off which I really appreciate.

Absolut in Ordnung

Very surprising find! - Edit
Iceland has a tiny Indian population (if any!), so this was a very unexpected find! I’m Indian, and this Indian food was not bad at all, even by Indian standards. Another thing that impressed me a lot was how well the Icelandic waiter pronounced the names of the dishes! Just blown away by the experience, and not due to the novelty factor.
Read moreFor the novelty factor however I did carefully bring back with me one of their menus that I still have as a souvenir.😄
I believe this restaurant is owned by an Indian woman and her Icelandic husband, and they have one other Indian restaurant that is more formal/high end dining that I did not get to eat at.
Pros: Good food, pretty authentic , Dishes pronounced well, added to the experience

Simple and Delicious! - Edit
My husband and I each order a vegan lunch assortment of food that arrived in what looked like the base of a tiffin. Each food absolutely wonderful, and we even remarked about how one of these dishes could easily be shared if you are looking for a lighter lunch. That being said, we both cleaned our plates!

Delicious - Edit
We really enjoyed the food. We ordered the Thali plate with channa masala and aloo gobi mattar. You have to specify vegan not vegetarian, as the menu lists a vegetarian thali that is not totally vegan. So they doubled up on the channa masala in place of taking away the vegetarian selection, and gave me onion pakora in place of naan. I'm glad I ordered it but it was really expensive (yes, Iceland is expensive in general but this seemed even more so) and it didn't help that I had a miscommunication with the server that the Thali was on special that night which is why I ordered it. Anyway, it was still amazing!
