Veggie options at a cowboy cafe - Edit
Houston's is a long-time institution in Kanab; they even have a catering arm that services everything from weddings to wildland firefighter camps. Their restaurant is typical of cafes in rural Western towns, lots of traditional country comfort food in a casual atmosphere. What's not typical is their separate "veggie" section of the menu with 5 different entrées, which I greatly appreciate (although at least one probably has dairy - an alfredo pasta). I got the Orange Veggie stir-fry Bowl which has faux "chick'n", and it was pretty good for being cooked by a place known more for things like country fried steak. Yes, Kanab has better vegan options, (those at Peekaboo Grill being my favorite), but Houston's is a decent choice if you're with ominvores who want classic Western comfort food.

not good for vegetarians at all. steamed vegetables are like microwaved from frozen. poory done veggie burger options. go elsewhere in town - there’s loads of other veg options nearby.
