amazing

the owner was so welcoming and happily seated me and my mum despite not having a reservation. she was honestly lovely and very attentive to what each customer wants (eg spice level). the menu is clearly labelled and we had a vegan platter for two. the portion was very generous (good value for what you pay) and was all delicious. neither of us are familiar with ethiopian cuisine but really enjoyed it, i’d highly recommend visiting. we were also given some extra chili power and sauce we could add ourselves if we wanted to up the spice level.

Eens iets anders

Expensive, but okay I guess

The waiter was very kind. Unfortunately the food tasted pretty much all the same and was quite expensive, around 40 euros/2p. For that kind of money I would definitely expect more..

Pros: nice waiter

Cons: expensive

Authentic rich flavors

Our "big treat" restaurant. It's been around since about 2005 and the quality of her food remains top notch. We always order the vegetarian sampler plate (always vegan) which is 40€ for 2 people. We always leave so happy and more than full! They are now experimenting with vegan "meat" samplers so you can ask to have some incorporated into your sampler plate if you wish.

Pros: vegan sampler plate, always leave crazy full, cozy atmosphere

Cons: not cheap

very good Ethiopian

This place looks a little chaotic from the outside, but it's really worth going in! The Vegetarian plate is vegan and consists of things like sauteed spinach with garlic, lentils, cabbage with potato and mushrooms served on a big teff pancake (injera) and share with whom you're eating. It's really authentic food and the owner is very friendly and aware of veganism. You have to eat with your hands. Price is fair!

Pros: Nice vegan option, authentic food, friendly owner

Cons: no website, difficult to make reservations, opening hours not clear

I really enjoyed the food here. You eat it with your hands which is also an experience! Will definitely be going back!

A bit underwhelming

Vegetarian options standardly available on menu, and are also vegan.
We had a mixed platter (several dishes, with pancakes to scoop up the food). 40€ for 2 persons.
The food was a bit underwhelming, monotone. We expected more flavours, more variety.

Colourful interior, but a bit disorderly. Doesn't look very inviting from the outside (drapes in front of window).

Pros: vegetarian options are vegan, standardly availble , friendly service

Cons: food lacked flavours, no website - hard to find info, a bit disorderly
