Vegan Options available 🌱

I came to House of Chocolate in December 2024 for the first time, there was a vegan brownie and cake offered as well as drinks and Chocolate bars, in February there wasn't any vegan cakes available this time, but had a vanilla icecream, nonetheless a really nice place to visit with demonstrations of the history of cocoa and how it's made!

If you are a vegan who loves chocolate and you are in Grenada, House of Chocolate is a must. There are a variety of chocolate bars, cocoa nibs, cocoa powders, cocoa balls, cocoa butter most of which are vegan that you will be able to enjoy. This store contains products from the five chocolate brands here on the island. So if you are unable to visit the factories, here is the spot to sample and purchase them. There are sweet treats on sale such as bon bons, cakes, icecream, hot and cold beverages, etc (pics of the menu below). They usually labelled vegan next to what is available for us. If you are not sure you can always ask. They will know what you mean without even having to explain. They typically have more vegan options, but when I went in only icecream, almond milkshake and bon bons were available for me to eat at the time. However if you pre-order days before, you can order icecream, cakes etc that are vegan. Apart from that there were demonstrations done of how chocolate is made in Grenada and examples of chocolates made from the factories. The demostration is complementary, but feel free to leave a tip. There were other stuff on sale apart from chocolates. So be sure to stop by when you're in St. George's.

Chocolate heaven

Pleased to see vegan ice-cream on the menu (vanilla, Oreo, chocolate). Also had a chocolate shot which was labelled dairy free. That was deep chocolate indulgence. There was also vegan chocolate cake. . Loads of chocolate suitable for vegans on sale.

Pros: Chocolate lovers heaven

A Chocolate Haven/Heaven!

This is the ultimate chocolate shop. It is an outlet for the various Grenadian chocolate growers/manufacturers which are located in rural areas on the island. There's such a fantastic selection, including what we were looking for - organic, and 80%-100% cacao. We stocked up on chocolate bars and cocoa balls, including a bar of organic mint chocolate. There's a real range of chocolate and chocolate-related items on offer here. We just had to try a couple of scoops of the chocolate vegan ice cream and, quite honestly, it was as good as or better than any we've had elsewhere - smooth, delightfully flavorful, and very moreish! The staff here are wonderful, super-helpful, and very knowledgeable about their products. This was a real highlight of our visit to Grenada. Thank you!!!

Pros: All the chocolate you could want or imagine., High quality products., Super-friendly and helpful staff.

Cons: None, None, None

Vegans haven't been forgotten!

We went to House of Chocolate to pick up some dark chocolate but were pleased to find that in the baked goods section, they offered a vegan chocolate cake, 3 types of delicious bonbons (guava, nutmeg, and caramel which actually tasted like passion fruit). They also have 3 flavors of vegan ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, and nutmeg) although this was the only thing that wasn't that great -- the flavor was nice, but it was more like shaved ice. They also have vegan hot chocolate too
