I had the tomato tteokbokki - it was very tasty and very cheap (9500 won).
Read moreThe two women who worked there were very nice. They speak some English and made sure to check if I wanted the vegan option (though I chose the vegetarian one). They seem to have a good humour even if though it was hard to communicate (my korean is awful). They were very accommodating and nice.

Came here with my boyfriend, so he ordered in Korean. I can’t vouch for their english speaking skills, but I’m sure you could point to the menu and say what you want. We ordered the perilla leaf option. and that was the day I realised Perilla leaves taste like dish soap to me, but once I forced my boyfriend to put all of the leaves in his bowl, it was quite enjoyable, although I wish I had left some room in my stomach as the fried rice that was recommended for us to get with the leftover tteokbokki juice as it truly was the star of the show 10 out of 10 recommend the fried rice as for the tteokbokki I would probably get a different flavour next time but that is entirely out of preference.😄

The Mushroom Ttoekbokki was wonderful - Edit
I ordered the mushroom ttoekbokki and it was a whole surprise. It had mushrooms, two different dumplings, rice cakes and even ramen noodles in it.
Read moreIt was so good. The owner asked me if I want the ttoekbokki vegan or with cheese. And you can choose the spicy level so for people that can't eat spicy food you can order a mild version.
A portion for two people cost about 17.000 won.

There’s three vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. I ordered the tomato vegan tteokbokki. It came with dumplings too. You can choose the spicy level and once you finish you can order fried rice as well.
