I'm happy that I could just enjoy the lovely decor (look away from the seafood bar though) and had lovely vegan food to enjoy while at it.
I had the vegan carrot schnitzel; it was huge and tasted amazing! The side salad was fresh and being defined as a "side" won't give it the credit it deserves.
They give you maybe a bit too much time to make your decision, but once you're in their line of vision everything goes very fast.

Hotel New York is niet gericht op vegans - Edit
Hotel New York is een historische en prachtige plek om te zijn. Het gebouw is werkelijk schitterend met een adembenemend uitzicht op de Maas.
Read moreVan te voren heb ik contact gehad of er Vegan gerecht is voor diner en bij aankomst bleek dat niet te kloppen. Dankzij een vriendelijke medewerker kon de couscous Vegan gemaakt worden. Erg jammer dat er weinig tot geen Vegan aanbod is bij Hotel New York.

Great vegan options - Edit
My husband loved the plant-based tournedos with a side of mushrooms. I loved the vegan poke bowl with watermelon instead of sashimi. There were four non-alcoholic beers and two non-alcoholic wines. I enjoyed the 0.0% prosecco.

No vegan options - Edit
What a deception. In a big vegan city like Rotterdam this is not your choice to go when you eat vegan. When we asked if there was an option to get anything “ veganized”, the waiter sighed and told us to ask the kitchen and he would charge what they told him how much it was going to cost. No options available what so ever.

The restaurant of Hotel New York has quite some vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. The building is nice and the staff was really friendly.
