Not worth it, go to a bar and get some fries with beer. The potato salad was not vegan, had to ask 3 times to get an honest answer that it was indeed made with eggs. The barreado tasted like emptiness, the rice tasted like void. Thankfully there were bananas and hot sauce in the table so we could taste something.

trying vegan Barreado here was an interesting experience. the seasoning is different from anything I've ever tried. it's not delicious enough to go back soon, but it was worth it. they use soy protein and deep-fried tofu instead of the shredded meat used in the traditional Barreado. they serve Barreado with pirão, salad, rice, farofa, oranges and bananas.

Good vegan Barreado - Edit
Tasty traditional local specialty called Barreado. Friendly staff.
Read moreNice location with a big balcony facing the river. Kinda pricy but you can ask for more.
In addition there are several Cachaças at the Entrance for free.
3* because the potato salad was not vegan, tho we asked several times. Order without.
General recommendation for Brazil: Ask for the ingredients instead asking if its vegan. Often ppl mix up vegan with vegetarian.
