Very vegan unfriendly

None of the dishes are vegan, only after alterations . Even the (dry) brown bread with hummus and unseasoned vegetables has parmesan on it. Way too expensive as well for some supermarket bread with lukewarm hummus (€10)

Pros: Nice location

Cons: Very vegan unfriendly, Only option is dry bread with hummus for 10€

Lovely place by a lake!

Great ambiance, food and service. Vegan hummus sandwich, cakes, soup, salad and eggplant dish. Chef is very willing to discuss and make other vegan options. Vegetsble garden, outside seating.

Great for drinks, not great for vegan food

Let me just start by saying that I absolutely love Hotel Buiten, and I am there quite often. I have taken friends and colleagues there for drinks, and it's very dog friendly, which is rare in this part of town. It's a great spot to take in nature, it's got tons of toys for kids, and the staff is super friendly.

That being said, I would never come here to eat a meal. They have almost no vegan options other than some vegan croquettes, a hummus sandwich (if you ask for it without cheese) and fries. While you could certainly make a meal out of that, they often don't have everything listed on the menu. So, I would say, get food somewhere else, and come have a really lovely time having drinks by the water along with some light snacks!

Pros: lovely place, dog friendly, friendly staff

Cons: very few vegan options

The vegan options are not plenty or tasty

Service is friendly, but very, very slow.
They changed their menu and now the only vegan options they have are 1 salad (vegan when asked to leave the parmesan off), 1 vegan sandwich which consists of 1 loaf of bread covered with oily, grilled vegetables without any seasoning, potato fries and 1 vegan dessert. Beware, as the lentil burger that is mentioned in another review is NOT vegan.
Was honestly disappointed as my father in-law had contacted them beforehand and they had enthusiastically replied that they had "plenty" options. Maybe I am spoiled but in this day and age, when you say you have plenty options, I expect the options to be more then a bare salad, greens sandwich or fries, all without any seasoning.
I have eaten at plenty restaurants and cafe's with only 1 or 2 vegan options and that is okay, when you at least make sure that the food tastes good and isn't an oily, flavourless after thought.

Pros: Fresh mint tea, Nice location next to the Sloterplas

Cons: Quality-price ratio is not good, Not many vegan options, Vegan options don't taste that good

Good food and great view over the lake, Sloterplas

Their food is a mix of classy recipies and good old jummy (lentil) burgers. Super friendly staff, this restaurant was build with help of the community. O and kid friendly play area!

Pros: Vegetarian & vegan options, Kid friendly play area, Great view over the Lake

Cons: open kitchen that also cooks meat & fish
