We were there for lunch and had a vegan toasti and a toasti with vegetables.

Brasserie Brakzand ensures that everyone has a great dining experience. Next to a various vegan options, they also cater to other dietary requirements. Eg a dedicated frying pan for non-gluten.

Limited vegan options - Edit
Ate here with a friend and I had the vegan option. Compared to my friend who chose meat I was happy to see vegetables on my plate. Not that spectacular, but well played for a rather traditional restaurant. A suggestion: meat dishes go well with veggies too 😉

Disappointing - Edit
They have a separate vegan 3 course menu with 2 options for appetizers and 2 options for main course. We both had the parel couscous appetizer and the polenta main course. The other options were a greek salad with vegan feta and a lentil curry.
Read moreThe couscous was really disappointing, was essentially just a pile of flavorless couscous with a couple raw mushrooms & other veg/fruit and some little drops of some kind of coconut sauce that didnt really taste like much?
The main course was better, the polenta was very tasty and flavored very well but then mismatched with strange combinations of a relatively flavorless salad, raw mushrooms again and a bit blob of sweet jam. There were also some cooked vegetables that were yummy.
The desert was chocolate mousse with raspberries and that was pretty yummy; light & fluffy and a little bit sour (like fruity type sour) but also nice and chocolatey.
All in all, wouldn’t really recommend eating here as a vegan. Was overpriced for relatively little food, but more importantly, very unimaginative and unflavorful food. Like someone threw some things together and called it a day without really putting effort into it. Too bad!

Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gibt ein 3- oder 4- Gänge Menü speziell Vegan, mit Auswahl bei Vorspeise und Hauptgericht. Die Portionen sind ausreichend groß, es gibt ja auch noch frische Pommes (tatsächlich frisch aus ungeschälten Kartoffeln hergestellt!) mit veganer Majonnaise und Salat dazu.

Lekker vegan uit eten op Schiermonnikoog - Edit
Dit restaurant heeft een aparte vegan kaart met leuke en ook creatieve gerechten. Mijn partner en ik hebben beide verschillende gerechten van deze kaart geprobeerd en het was allemaal lekker. Het enige opvallende was dat de milde linzen curry wel vrij peperig smaakte voor een ‘milde’ curry, maar hij was alsnog wel lekker.
