Nice for a coffee break :) - Edit
It was really nice for a break during our snow show tour! We sadly didn‘t try the food options, only got a coffee with oat milk but saw a vegan burger on the bistro menu and some vegan trekking food in the store.

Nice and tasty with the best view - Edit
At restaurant Kungsleden, a nice lunch buffet with salad bar, bread and coffee included. They will make vegan to order if it’s not on the day’s menu (which it seems to often be).

Only small gripe is that I got cauliflower in different variations three meals in two days. But I can imagine worse things.
The surrounding view is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen.

Good food but strange service - Edit
Enough vegan options to fill your belly during breakfast and dinner: which is great. They understand what vegan is.
Read moreHowever the service is quite strange. Slow and they have trouble finding you a table when there are visibly tables available. They will seat you at a table with other people so you can look at all the empty tables together…. lol. This was for the both evenings that we had dinner here. Also don’t make a reservation because if you don’t this somehow gives you a priority.

Ich finde es so toll, das an einem solch abgelegenen Ort im Hotel es selbstverständlich ist, dass hier immer ein rein Veganes Essen zubereitet wird.

STF tourist station was the best solution in Abisko. Food is great and also all the staff is really kind and flexible 🙂

The buffet is absolutely fantastic. At first I was scared that I wouldn’t find so many vegan options on the buffet ( breakfast and lunch) but I was wrong! Everything was vegan except for two things. Most of the vegan items are also marked. They also have vegan pastries for fika. For dinner, a vegetarian menu is available. I checked with the staff if they could make it vegan and they told me that everything on the menu was actually vegan. Overall the food is super good and the staff is very well informed about veganism

Excellent vegan food - Edit
We stayed here for two nights and the food was excellent. Dinner was pretty expensive but fancy, with a separate 3 course vegetarian menu which they made vegan on request. They did not just omit the cheese but added oat cream as a replacement and even made vegan deserts.
Read moreLunch was great value for money, a buffet with always a vegan option (and one meat dish) with soup and a salad bar. Breakfast also had multiple vegan options with two types of vegan yoghurt (soy/oat), hummus, vegan butter, plant milk and oaty cream cheese. Food was delicious, generally plant-based and these people are very well prepared for vegans!

Great deal for vegan lunch plus well stocked shop - Edit
Stayed at the STF hostel and had a great experience. The shop is well stocked with Oatly and other vegan products. We had lunch and the staff were friendly and quickly sorted a vegan option for me. We didn’t try the evening meal because of the high price but everything else was perfect. Highly recommended!
