Vegan pancakes - Edit

Came here and had a delicious pancake filled with loads of banana and homemade Nutella sauce. Huge portion!! Also had a nice gluten-free vegan brownie, which tasted good, but was pretty heavy and dense
The coffee and hot chocolate made with oat milk were ok, a bit bland.
Savoury items (salad, sandwiches, pizza) and breakfast options (fruit, granola) sounded good
Nice location with peaceful garden outside the small cafe. Open 8am - 8pm

Pros: Delicious pancakes, Cheap

Very good! - Edit

We were two persons and ordered one quinoa burger and one lentil burger, both were really good, especially the quinoa one! We also had the guacamole that was really good. With one patatas fritas, one delicious salad and two juices we got more than full:)

Pros: The taste and the size of the dishes!

Cons: Limited nr of gluten free dinner options but they

nice respite from tourist street - Edit

Hostal Joshua is a good walk away from the main tourist street that seeks to lure vegans in by listing “vegan options” on their signs and only offering a tomato lettuce salad. The food was tasty and filling. The only bummer is that we went by on a Sunday to get some food for our long overnight bus, but the kitchen was closed.

Great Desserts - Edit

I had a sweet tooth so we went there after dinner in search for cake. I had a passion fruit tart for 15Bs. The services was really friendly and genuine and the rest of the menu looks great. We will go back for a meal or more while we're here 👍😄

Awesome food and good vibes - Edit

We met Carlos on the beach of Copacabana, leaving for the islands, and we were so excited to see vegan food!
We tried the falafel wraps which turned out to be incredible (with homemade ketchup and sesame sauce to die for) (18 Bs each).
When we came back, we tried to stay at his place but it was full - it didn't stop us to come back for breakfast the next day!
Full breakfast includes chia pudding, fruit salad, nuts, oats, homemade bread and chocolate peanut butter, as well as a hot drink (the hot chocolate with homemade oat milk was heavenly) - all of this for 17 Bs (there are less expensive options as well).
They also have dessert snacks that taste quite good (gluten-free brownie, energy bars...)
The bonus of the place is the positive energy! Carlos and the rest of the team are very nice and helpful :)

They just put up a sign with the name of the hostel, but just in case: walk down the beach until you see the 2 incas, walk up the street and turn right to the blue house (right before the stairs).

Pros: Tasty and healthy food, Very good vibes, Perfect snacks to take away for the islands

Cons: Not easy to find, not in the city center, Restaurant closed on Sundays

Vegan heaven - Edit

We ran into Carlos and his food cart right after we arrived in Copacabana and had pretty much every meal since then from him. He even cooked for us on his night off and on Sunday when his restaurant is closed. Huge selection of high quality wholesome food. You can either catch him with his food cart on the streets or at his Hostal Joshua which is a bit hard to find. Walk along the waterfront and when you see the 2 big scultures follow their pointed finger a short distance up the hill and then turn right. You wont be disappointed. Great food, outstanding service, good vibes.

Awesome Place - Edit

Had some lunches there during my stay in Copacabana : always tasty and very filling !
Try the hummus salad, as everything else it's a perfect vegan place.
You can also find Carlos on the main avenue (6 de Agosto) during the day, offering burgers, falafel sandwiches, vegan brownies and raw sweets.
Hostal Joshua is situated a little remotely from the main places in town but definitely worth the 5 min walk.

Thank you Carlos !

Pros: Great food, Great place, Great vibe

Amazing food, lovely guy! - Edit

We ate at hostel Joshua for lunch in Copacabana! There is little vegan options in this town and I would recommend hostel Joshua above any other.
We ate the set menu which was lovely and fresh!
My partner was sick and the owner made him a tummy tea and was very caring to us.
We also bought his brownies and burgers to take on the bus to Cuzco which was also delicious!

They are creating a very special restaurant, with a essence of being at home... I definitely recommend it: fresh food, great cooking and made with love.

Pros: The good and fresh food, They have dished others don't have, The way the treat you

Cons: They need a bit more time to finish the project...
