Don't go with the brunch - Edit

I was here twice, both times I went with the brunch plate. First time because I didn't knew what I will get second time because my friend invited me. Both times I got really disappointed. In my opinion it's not a brunch, but a side dish plate. Both times I was hungry afterwards because the food on the plate is almost non-existing. And for the price I really don't recommend it! So go here and pick up something different because the place itself is really cosy and relaxed.

Pros: atmosphere , fresh juices

Cons: brunch

Hope is important - Edit

We visited here twice for during our stay and absolutely loved the breakfast options. On our first visit we ordered the coconut yoghurt (42kr) and gluten free homemade bread with vegan scrambled eggs and filter coffee (48kr) and both breakfast dishes were superb and a great start to the day. As we enjoyed our breakfast so much, we decided to go the next day this time ordering the spirulina protein bowl (79kr) and homemade vegan coconut and cashew yoghurt (75kr) with two detox drinks (42kr) to the friendly staff. Again the breakfasts were delicious and you could just taste the healthiness with each mouthful. Inside Hope is very much embracing healthy eating but this is sadly soured by the bizarre menu choice of the chicken sandwich. Why this is on the menu I do not know. Hope could quite easily be vegan without this and the few dairy options also on the menu. Aside from this though I would definitely recommend going if you are in the area.

Pros: Fantastic breakfasts, Vegan options, Nice staff

Cons: Chicken sandwich (why???), Not 100% vegan

Nice food, but overly salty - Edit

Tried the vegan sandwich, it was nice, but it had too much salt added. My dinner companion also found her sandwich too salty. It was almost to the point that I was considering to complain - next time I'll ask them to go easy on it.

Pros: Several nice vegan options

Cons: Salty , small dinner menu

Excellent - Edit

I found Hope cafe by accident while looking for another vegan restaurant. I wasn't expecting anything great to be honest because I didn't find it on any lists when I did research in advance. I'm also super picky. I was happily surprised that the food was such good quality, great flavours and presented beautifully. In the 3 days I spent in Copenhagen I went 6 times! Breakfast and dinner every day. The breakfast scrambled tofu with gluten free toast, home made mayonnaise was delicious. Vegan sandwich is so good, the vegan burger so good and let me tell you about the raw snickers bar! I wish I could have taken 4 back with me.
The vibe of the place is really nice and cosy. The staff are super friendly. Its an absolute gem in Copenhagen. If I go back to Copenhagen I would have to stay at the not so great hotel I stayed at while there because it was 7 minutes away from Hope!
I would have given it a 5 star rating but happy cow doesn't allow if its not 100% vegetarian, so it automatically gives 4 stars instead of 5. For me its 5 stars though!

Pros: Great food, Great location, Reasonably priced

Cons: none

Not hopeful for everyone - Edit

When we saw the restaurant from the outside, we were sure, "this must be a vegan restaurant" because of its "greenish" interieur and name. But when we've taken a nearer look on the menu card, we were irritated and put off by the meals with chicken flesh and with goat cheese. And we weren't sure if the other food with names like "(vegan) steak" or "(vegan) beef" were really vegan or not. So went looking for an other vegan restaurant in the near... And later, we decided to take a visit there anyway. It's a cozy place to stay with all the wooden interieur and plants. The staff was very friendly.

I was surprised that - despite their sustainable slogan and their name "Hope" - they offer chicken flesh and goat cheese.

We ordered the vegan sandwich (75 Kr) and the 1st (lovely arranged) tapas plate (65 Kr). I liked the food. They offer flavoured water in a self-tap bowl too.

The Perfect GF Veg Breakfast - Edit

Everything is homemade and gluten free! Reasonably priced too. I had coffee & bread which came with rockets, vegan cheese and tomato. It only cost me 38, which is good for Copenhagen prices. Would highly recommend.

Perfect Start to My CPH Day! - Edit

My hostel didn't have a vegan option for a reasonable price, so HappyCow gave me Hope! Lovely coconut yogurt with, blueberries, granola, almonds and an americano on the side! Quaint little cafe, although I sat at s table on the narrow pavement and had the chance to say hello to some other early risers! 😜

Pros: Lovely breakfast 😜

Cons: The street cleaner with her blower moving the litt

Cozy and sweet staff! - Edit

This cafe is really cozy and serves delicious, vegan food. Their chicken sandwich is called "the sinner", so even though they are not 100% vegan, they are still "vegan-minded".
I've tasted their smoothie bowls, sandwich and salad and they are all super tasty!
They have a really nice staff and have almost every plantbased milk to your coffee or tea.

Pros: Nice food, Sweet staff

Cons: Small place

Suprisingly good! - Edit

We found the place pretty much by accident and went to eat there with no big expectations. I ordered a burger that was both vegan and gluten free and some sweet potato fries with chilli dip. The fries were delivered right away and, as hungry as we were, we finished them long before the burger - they were clearly made on the spot and the dip was fantastic. Then came the burger - at first bite a bit flat, the patty was not strongly spiced but the dressings and the veggies did the trick, the combination of flavors did some magic and the burger bun was like the dot over the letter i of a good dish. To sum up: everything was fresh, balanced and tasted well. Do you know this feeling when you eat something super healthy and you feel the healthiness flowing through your veins? I had that with the Hopeburger. I definitely recommend the place and will be back rather soon!

Fresh taste and good service - Edit

The sweet potato fries with chilli mayo are a must if you visit Hope. They mainly offer small fast food dishes and smoothies. Everything I tried here, including fries, sandwich and burger tasted very healthy and fresh and the different flavours of the ingredients harmonized very well.

The service is very accommodating and you can sense that the people working in Hope enjoy what they are doing.

Pros: very accommodating service, organic interior

Cons: the toilet is a bit hidden for the unknowing guest

Friendly service and great food - Edit

I accidentally stumbled by this place in their opening week, and had a chat with the very friendly owners - 3 young guys, whose vision were starting up a sustainable cafe in the heart of Copenhagen.

I believe they have one sandwich with chicken on their menu, for the conservatives, but except for that, their selection is vegetarian. I haven't yet tried their vegan sandwich, but their salad is good, and brunch excellent.

For their smoothies, they offer a wide variety of different kinds of milk, and they themselves are suggesting the rice milk.

Most of their juices (strangely) contain honey, but it is no problem asking them to omit it, as they are freshly squeezed.

I would recommend this place, and would hope that in the future, they can go all vegan.

Best hamburger EVER - Edit

We came here by chance and we took vegan hamburger with sweat fries. Omg, maybe the best thing I ever ate.
Cheap and taste really really good, nice welcome too.
If you are in Copenhagen, and not too hurry, come here, you won't be disappointing.
Just perfect.

Pros: Really tasty, Cheap, Good portions

Cons: A little too spicy for my friend

Had a great time. - Edit

We had a vegetarian and a vegan sandwich - both were delicious. While smallish in size, they were very filling - and the bread was gluten-free. The place was quiet and very cozy. Definitely charming! The prices were reasonable.

A must!!! - Edit

Food is made with so much love and thoughtfulness. They aim at completely fair trade seasonal regional plant-based ingredients - everything either is labeled vegan or can be made vegan. When we were there, only non-vegan ingr. was dairy yoghurt in the Breakfast bowls. If you come on the weekend, bring time and try to be early as everything is made fresh by one single (very friendly) guy. We waited approx. 20 min on a saturday at 11am for our 2 dishes which were totally worth the wait (brunch plate and vegan sandwich). Don't be disappointed by the rather small portions - it's absolutely made up by the density of flavour and nutritional value. The buckwheat bread they serve is crazily yummy crispy oven-fresh and very filling. Coffee was very nice too.other pros: nice relaxing indie folk music. Pretty DIY yoga-style interior. You can pay with credit card here. They have two tiny outdoor tables too. And in case you wondered, yes, also a very clean litle restroom behind the counter.

Pros: Credit card payment, Exellent food quality, Very nice staff

Cons: Smallish portions
