Disappointed - Edit
I just wanted a burger before we got on the road. My husband and I ordered the classic with the Beyond patty dry no condiments add vegan cheese. It took a long while to get it. It was cold no cheese on either one. I don’t think the guys cooking understand that regular butter does not go on a vegan burger. They toasted a new bun. And proceeded to add all kinds of condiments. So I asked if I can please have a bun just toasted dry or in oil. We’ll finally got my sad burger. It was barely cooked through, pink in the middle ☹️. Fries were cold☹️. Okay well let’s eat! The place as a whole was in pretty bad shape. But I’m like okay maybe they were busy. Hm! Nope they were not. They were hanging out. One of the guys even had they’re arms crossed. A lot of just hanging out😕. This is sad , I really like Hop Doddy in Austin, Tx.

Not vegan friendly staff - Edit
Read moreLast time we went we ordered large regular hand cut fries, instead they served us fries with cheese all.iver it and jalapenos all over, my boyfriend is allergic to jalapenos. They charger the fries separately from your meal anywhere from 3 to 7 dollars depending on the fries you get. I ordered the vegan Philly cheese burger and that alone was almost 13 dollars no fries included. Fountain drink was 3 dollars so 6 dollars for me and my boyfriend just to have watered down tasting soda. As I was eating the vegan burger when I got towards the middle I pulled out a square piece of bacon that's was covered in melted non vegan cheese. It was directly in the middle. None of my or my boyfriends order had bacon in the menu, they put the bacon because the cooks get the order with "make it vegan" and they bring their ego into it, you can't avoid it when you order a vegan burger because the register worker writes that in the ticket for the cooks. So the place in its own is over priced, the fountain drinks taste watered down, and the cooks are unprofessional. While I was complaining about the bacon I found in my burger, a worker was fake cleaning right by us the whole time listening and stopped talking because it started to get awkward how he was sweeping the same spot for 2 minutes straight, then a few mins later he went back into the kitchen which we have a clear view of and talked to all the cooks and they looked towards us with big smiles and laughing. I wanted to get out of there and never come back..

Impossible Burger & regular fries - Edit
1st of all the fries do not come with the burger they are extra and the serving portion is extremely small! Not worth the upcharge of the fries because mine needed more salt and were not crispy enough. However if your visit is to experience the Impossible Burger you will not not leave disappointed! It was absolutely positively scrumptious! 😉

Good vegan burgers - Edit
I’ve tried both the black bean burger, La Bandita, and the impossible burger here which were both good. You have to order them vegan style, or without the sauces and cheese on wheat or in lettuce. The wheat bun does contain honey though. On the impossible burger, I kept the lettuce and added pickles, topped with ketchup and mustard, on the wheat bun and it honestly felt like I was eating a regular burger. It doesn’t fall apart or look any different from a regular burger and tastes good. The La Bandita is good, but another black bean burger so I’ll stick with the impossible burger when going here. The impossible burger is the most expensive burger on the menu at $14. I had the sweet potato fries without the sauce it comes with since it’s not vegan. The ketchup goes just fine with them. They have Maine Root sodas, mixed drinks and beer. I’ve only had the sodas. It’s a nice place to go with non vegans so everyone can get what they want. Seating is limited to small tables for 2 to 4 people and just a few tables inside for 6. There is dog friendly outdoor seating with larger tables as well. Would like to see the wheat buns without the honey and a vegan cheese option, but I don’t think they’re marketing to vegans that directly. Still good and is a go to for burgers out.
