What can be better than a walk along the canal finished with a tapas. Big choice of vegan nibbles as well

Brecon and the surrounding area doesn't have any standout vegan dining options and the Hop in Beer & Gin House fills a significant gap in this respect. Describing itself as a beer and gin house, this is a quirky little bistro bar, with interesting decor, very popular for it tapas menu. The current menu has 10 vegan options and between my partner and I, I think we've now tried them all. We particularly liked the stuffed peppers, vegetable croquettes and patatas bravas. The inexpensive dishes are home cooked, well prepared, delivered with warm, friendly service. If the restaurant was vegan, we'd have happily given a 5 star rating.
