Hoover's Market

Vegan and vegetarian friendly market with an amazing selection of fresh organic produce, supplements and bulk grains. They also have a cafe for a quick vegan lunch. Closed on Saturdays. Staff is energetic and friendly.

I've been shopping at Hoover's forever (since two name changes ago). The employees are genuinely friendly, the (newly renovated) store is big and clean, and they have a great selection of grocery items, produce, and a cafe.

They have some items/brands that other local health food stores don't have, and they have better prices on certain items too. Best selection (and price) of Tofutti (pints and ice cream sandwiches) and Field Roast products, and best prices on most bulk nuts and nutritional yeast, to name a few.

I only wish they were a fully vegan store (but I wish that about everywhere, so that's not really knocking them).

I shop here weekly along with my Publix trip. While some of their items are pricier than the nearby Publix, others are cheaper, so you have to take notice. Some of the very highly recommended vegan products: Tofurky pepperoni pizza; Daiya cheddar great for grilled cheeses, nachos (melted), tacos (melted or cold); the mozarella is good too, but just for pizza and baked italian dishes as it is bland but that's normal; Follow Your Heart cheddar melted with margarine in a double boiler is excellent for mac and cheese, esp baked, Tofutti chocolate cookie/vanillla bark/butter pecan/ as well as ice-cream sandwiches, nuttie-buttie things, and fudgcicles; chocoalte-hazlenut spread, bulk nutritional yeast and gluten, and corn dogs! Lots of stuff and the staff is unbelievably friendly.

Wide variety of vegetarian foods. All their produce is organic and/or local.

This has become our regular grocery store now. They have a nice selection of organic produce, juices and vegan vitamins along with a great selection of tofu, seitan, tempeh and fake meat stuff (not just the canned stuff). They have a very friendly and helpful staff and compared with our local large chain supermarket the prices are great. They have just installed a deli counter with sandwiches and wraps.
