Tofish is a thing apparently!

Available for take away only. Not too expensive and quick to order. The best vegetarian and vegan range I've ever come across in a fish and chip shop. Would definitely recommend checking it out.
A lot of the packaging is cardboard but still some polystyrene containers which is a shame.

Pros: Great veg and vegan selection for a chippie!

Cons: Single use polystyrene containers unnecessary!

Nice customised orders

Had tofish and chips. The chips were perfect, I enjoyed customising them as "well done" and with truffle oil. The tofish wasn't the best I've ever had but still pretty good.

Best chippy in Glasvegas

There are only two chippies I frequent and one of them is wee hurrie in Troon the other one being Hooked in Glasgow. Its fantastic, always good quality deep fried nosh i isually go with haggis and sweet potato fries. Staff understands what vegan food is and they also provide gluten free options.

Pros: good value

Oh how I’ve missed a chippy!

Having not had a chippy since I stopped eating meat, this was tremendous! Battered sausage with sweet potato chips…tasted great. Will be back :)

What’s not to like? Veggie fast food n chips!!

Two veg burger options that are yummy - bean burger and halloumi burger. I can have burger and chips as a vegetarian, how could I not love this place.
Also it’s a clean and ‘healthy’ fish n chip shop so the oil is clean and not transfat.

Pros: Bean burger & sweet potato fries!!, Nice vibe, Can take omnivores and we’re all happy

Cons: Provide info on where/how the food is sourced

Sausage supper

I've not had a proper chippy since I went vegetarian 10 year ago. For years I have just had fritters!

Came here before a Scotland game at Hampden - sausage supper was awesome - essentially Linda McCartney sausage in batter! Amazing food and all made fresh! Chip were so good!

A really great treat as a vegan!

be careful

Ordered a 'vegan' bean burger, was served in a brioche bun. When i pointed this out, staff were 'oh, is brioche not vegan?'. Months later this is still being advertised and sold as a 'vegan' option. Veggie haggis/sweet potato fries supper would be great, but again the batter is not vegan.

Amazing fried food

I love Hooked so much - if you are a fan of deep fried true Glasgow fatty foods this place will be a delight for you. Bean burger, battered vegan sausage, battered vegan haggis, all come with chips or sweet potato fries, or if you fancy something different, Spanish rice.

Staff are used to people coming from all over Scotland for a vegan 'supper' and can recommend substitues of sauces and condiments for vegan alternatives. Last time I was in they were also offering salad if you would like to add something with some degree of nutrition!

They do fry their veggie items in with fish/meat items but the oil is changed every 2 days - seemingly a rare frequency for chip shops. They use rapeseed oil.

They mainly do takeaway but they do have a few stools inside where you can sit at the window, and on a dry day they have a small table with two chairs outside.

Pros: Good prices, Selection of vegan battered delights, Friendly staff

Cons: Not that city central, Lack of seating
