Amazing fully vegan Chinese takeaway. It’s just a fab Chinese but everything veganised. Honey chilli chicken is amazing as well as the chow mein and salt and pepper chips.

This fully vegan Chinese takeaway is great. The staff are really friendly and the service is quick. We always get the ‘special combo starter’ and this is always crispy and never greasy.

A takeaway on the main road through Wrenthorpe, just a few miles from the city centre, serving fully-vegan Chinese dishes. The sweet and sour vegan chicken was particularly tasty, and the portions were generous - particularly the rice and noodles. I have a feeling they are cash-only: not a criticism, but worth knowing in advance if you don't normally carry cash.

We had the black fungus and lotus, Kung po lamb, and fried rice. All of it was delicious, plenty of fungus and the 'lamb' was moist and surrounded by a good amount of veggies. Absolutely worth it and will return again in the future.

What a find. This place was amazing. Exactly what I was looking for. Essentially a standard Chinese takeaway with normal prices but completely vegan. So much choice. Such good prices. Knowledgeable staff about intolerances. Cater really well for gluten free (although you have to ask). Food a little greasy but again this is authentic.

Absolutely blown away by the salt and pepper tofu and sweetcorn soup, and the price! This is the most I've ever ordered from a takeaway simply because I couldn't decide and it only came to £14!!

Great to be able to order from a fully vegan takeaway, with such an extensive menu and affordable prices.
Read moreWe decided to get the special combo, tofu Kung Po and tofu curry with fried rice, chips and noodles. However, after returning to our hotel after collecting our order, there was a mix up where we got sweet and sour tofu plus curry sauce instead of tofu curry.
This was slightly disappointing but thankfully both tofu dishes were very flavoursome, with perfectly cooked tofu and it was great to be able to have vegan fried rice and noodles alongside. Generous portion sizes too. The curry sauce and chips were very good too.
The vegan special combo of spring rolls, wontons, nori seaweed and chicken drumsticks was also really good with the satay and sweet chilli sauce providing a perfect dipping agent. I did feel the drumsticks just needed a bit more texture though.
Staff were very friendly and despite the slight mix up, I would definitely return again to try more dishes from the menu.

It’s amazing to get vegan Chinese takeaway with no worries that there’s been any mix-ups etc and it’s all vegan. The vegan chicken fried rice is amazing and so is the Aubergine dragon! The garlic broccoli is a great tasting side which I’d also recommend and order the vegan prawn crackers (not sure these are on the menu but there’s a sign in the takeaway)! The starters are maybe a little disappointing when compared to the rest though, I’d stick the the mains and sides.

It tastes divine, the portions are freaking huge, and the “meat” dishes actually are rammed with “meat” and not just a bit of meat bulked up with veg. And it’s about the same price as other Chinese takeaways too, so that’s cool that it doesn’t sacrifice portion size or price for being vegan 🙃

All vegan Chinese takeaway with extensive menu. Mock ‘meats’, tofu or veg dishes available. The drumsticks were really good, crispy skin although a little too greasy. I had the mapo tofu and wasn’t a fan, nothing wrong with the dish just not to my taste. The chow mein for me was a bit too dry. Would order again if in the area but prefer Wawin.
