Specializes in Pavbhaji and Gujarati vegetarian Indian street food such as bhaji pav, dosa, idli, uttapam, aloo mutter, bhel, samosa, pani puri, and other chaat snacks. We wanted to explore India Square, and also wanted to shop for good value groceries for our stay at NJ airbnb. At the D-Mart store, the staff there, suggested Honest for lunch.

It was a quiet day, but Honest seemed reasonably popular. It looked relaxed and informal and the staff was happy to explain the vegan options available, or how he could adjust dishes to be vegan. (He thoughtfully checked with the kitchen staff to confirm things like the addition of ghee to dishes.)

We ordered a rava-dosa and a samosa-channa chaat (without yoghurt, but he compensated us with extra chutneys and channa).
The prompt food was delicious and very satisfying. The bill was around $25.
So happy we got our South Indian fix, before taking on the hectic NYC vegan food scene!
