So sad to watch the downfall of HGS. - Edit
Zero stars. The original owner, Jeff, was great. When HGS was closing in Portland I was upset. But he was going to make a cookbook and that was a huge positive. Then a new owner, Kayla, stepped in and I was elated. Unfortunately she has ruined this wonderful treasure. I politely pointed out my dissatisfaction with their move to Phoenix, pop up food truck, and reduced quality on their Instagram and she blocked me. I think that is disgraceful. There are too many wonderful vegan restaurants, especially in Phoenix, to ever support this restaurant again. HGS no longer exists in any meaningful way. This is an empty shell and you can just look at the pictures of food from before and compare them to now. You can see the drop in quality and portion size. There are so many more examples on their IG. For now. Kayla will likely delete the old pictures from Instagram when she reads this. You can't silence my voice Kayla. I can have an opinion. My opinion is a cookbook would have been far superior to ruining HGS.
