I took the soy balls in soup option with rice, pickle, beans a drink and really enjoyed it. NT$200 on the expensive side for Taiwan but for an airport it was pretty normal. Tasted distinctly Asian and considering it’s literally the only restaurant in the airport (there’s one in arrivals and one in departures) I was content with it being my last meal. The vege mushroom noodles soup looked good too but they had sold out.
I'd been on a bus from Taipei & was flying to Hong Kong, not sure on my prospects for the next meal I looked into this place, there was also one downstairs before departures. They have a menu in English with photos, there were at least 3 choices which is decent for such a small airport. It also says Lacto vegetarian or vegetarian, so I opted for the sweet & sour soy meat, it comes as a set with rice, some greens, peanuts, pickles & your choice of tea or coffee. It wasn't expensive, 200 NTD I think, the food itself was adequate, the sweet and sour was like a minestrone soup and the soy pieces were pretty bland, nothing great but if you are in need at least it's an option. There was a vegetarian sandwich and a noodle soup as I remember.
