Falafel! - Edit
Always love when I can find a falafel wrap! It traveled well via Uber eats. Can’t wait to try it fresh. Previous reviews made me confident in ordering online that everything would be vegan.

My favorite impossible burger in town. Family owned, friendly helpful staff. Great overall menu. Pistachio baklava is incredible as well (but not vegan)

Satisfying and unique vegan options! - Edit
Their vegan menu has expanded significantly over the years and what I was able to try was fantastic. The vegan chicken shwarma was delectable and I would definitely get it again if I'm not in the mood for a sandwich.
Read moreThe sandwiches, though, are king. The vegan chicken parm was impressively crunchy and tasty. My hands-down favorite was the vegan philly. So delicious and well-seasoned, my dad (long time meat-eater) even asked if it was vegan. The only thing people may want to keep in mind is that it's oily. I personally didn't mind it since I appreciate authenticity AND I was also on vacation. I only wish I could get more of that philly on a regular basis! I will always make sure to eat here during my trips to Knoxville.
They also have a nice store that's fun to shop around in while you wait for your food.
Pros: Lots of delicious vegan options, Not expensive, Quick service

Lots of options, but real greasy - Edit
My partner and I decided to try this place on a whim as I had heard about it from some coworkers. I was shocked at the amount of vegan options they have! They have a whole vegan specials section of their menu.
Read moreWhile the food was pretty good, it was too greasy for my taste. Although it could be a good treat once in awhile.
Pros: Vegan menu
Cons: Greasy, Long wait if you don’t order ahead of time

Perfect sandwich joint - Edit
The sandwiches are amazing and you get a lot of food for the money, which is becoming less and less common these days. Delicious, flavorful, and exactly what you expect. Not some modernized take on the sandwich you ordered, but the real deal. The Rueben and the cheesesteak are both incredible. The proprietors are delightful people and I would never come to Knoxville without having a meal here.

Great Food Friendly Service - Edit
Went on a Saturday after 1. They were very busy but got out the orders in a timely manner. I got the Vegan chicken shawarma. So delicious! Will definitely go back again and try more items. The hummus looked very good but didn’t get to try it this time.

I love that Holy Lands has a vegan menu. The woman at the counter was very helpful. I got the vegan Ruben and French fries. It was delicious.
Read moreThey also have a small market of middle eastern items. I picked up red lentils for a curry I was making at home. Prices were good and the lentils cooked up beautifully. I plan to get some of their homemade hummus next time I’m in the store.

Delicious! - Edit
My dad is a truck driver so he only comes in every once in a while. Everytime he comes into town we pick up some Holy Land Market. Their vegan options are delicious. He always gets a vegan reuben, and I get the vegan steak 'n sack. The workers are always so sweet and accommodating. It's not too pricey if you go to the restaurant and pick up, I would avoid delivery services since it raises the price if you're trying to stay below a certain amount. But I'd prefer to go in and pick up anyways because the atmosphere of the restaurant is so comfortable and I'm always happy to see the workers. 💙

Vegan section on menu - Edit
After hearing so much about this place, we finally got a chance to check it out. The main attraction for us was their vegan friendly menu. We went on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was tight but we got a spot on the side of the building. We grabbed a table and I went to order at the counter. You order everything at the counter, they bring it to you when it's ready, and then you pay after you eat. They have pitchers of water for you to take to your table and cans of soda, tea, etc. Just let them know when you pay if you grabbed any drinks. Don't forget to bring cash for a tip (you can pay with a CC but can't add tip). We ordered a basket of vegan fries (must specify vegan), regular hummus appetizer (they have various flavors), falafel sandwich with tahini and a vegan philly cheesesteak (you can get beyond burger or impossible burger) with vegan cheese and mayo. The hummus was delicious and the pita bread was amazing (best pita bread in town)! The fries were hot and crispy. Perfect! My husband loved his cheesesteak sandwich. However, I didn't care for the falafel. I thought it was bland and there was barely any tahini so it was very dry. I'm used to Yassin's falafel which is very flavorful. The owners were as wonderful as everyone says. Very warm and were greeting everyone personally. Don't forget to check out their market before you leave. They have lots of veg friendly items including frozen food and pastries. We will definitely be back but I'll skip the falafel on our next visit.

Great middle eastern deli! - Edit
I shop here whenever possible, it's a great middle eastern grocery with several aisles of imported products, big buckets of olives, and wonderful fresh spices. The owners are very warm and friendly. There is a small deli in the back that features several different kinds of hummus, also a small cafe with daily specials. I recommend the Turkish coffee!
